Any seniors can share some details on this checkpoint at Wang Kelian in Perlis?

Is the immigration process similar to that through Bukit Kayu Hitam?

 

Planning a trip to Krabi via Hatyai on the way up but via Wang Kelian on return.

Both sides of checkpoint cant buy insurance.

Theres a 'market' on the thai side selling mostly foodstuff.

Just go la. The fine is only 1000B should you be so lucky.

How about the Padang Besar border? Can buy insurance there?

Possibly can buy earlier at the Gurun RSA petrol station (N5.834136, E100.487468). Otherwise, at any of the kopitiams in Changlun (N6.426989, E100.428691).
