Hi Riders, wanna ask a question over here.

My SP coolant system runs by a water bottle. if i want to change the bottle myself will i create air bubble in the system causing it to have air lock?

Need some advice on how to go about changing it / top up / clear airlock (if it happens). Wanna hands on my bike to know its inside out incase **** happens.

Thanks!

That water bottle just acts as a reservoir. . .

its there because the normal reservior is being removed yea? but i wanna change it. how do i go about doing it and preventing possible airlock? i don know if it creates airlock. (anyone can clarify) and i wanna change the bottle because its getting dirty inside ( slug can be seen at the side of the bottle, although is doesnt affect the bike performance.) its an eye sore everytime i looked at it.

Just replacing the bottle will not cause any damage. Reservoir by name is a storage of liquid.

first question, do you wan to change the coolant inside as well?

If yes, open the coolant cap, drain out the coolant..

take out the bottle, put the new bottle or etc that you wanted.

Close the coolant drain hole, pour in new coolant SLOWLY to ensure no leakage..

Once everything is in, start engine W/O placing your coolant cap..

rev abit abit until coolant go down.. den top up again.. check your coolant level for around 5 min and leave it idling.. den top up and close it back.. :)

If not changing entire coolant, you need to buy back the same brand of coolant that you used previously.

den open the coolant cap, take out the "bottle".. ensure not too much coolant drain out, if drain out, use something else to "support/stop" the flow.. Put back new bottle or block it..

den the same method applies, top up till brim, start bike, rev abit.. *ABIT.. no need high rev.. ;)

top up and close back..

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...
