Hi Xue Ling,

Yes, I shopped around and the Super 4 prices were outrageous for both 2nd hand and new. I thought I had a pretty good deal with the Ninja (11k in total, new)

BTW, here's what my Ninja looks like, I've zhnged it quite a bit!

1. what tyre size u using and brand?

2. is the yoshi exhaust street legal? slip-on or full system?

3. how much did u pay for the koso meter?

Hey Xue Ling,

1. Tyre size is per stock size, but am using Dunlop Arrowmax (or something like that, can't remember)

2. Slip on.... ;)

3. Koso meter was about $600 to ship in and install. Another $100+ to get the Koso plastic base from eBay as the meter does not cover the whole dashboard.

Hi Xue Ling, I didn't notice any change in power or fuel consumption as this is just a slip-on for cosmetic purposes. If you want more power, you would have to upgrade to a bigger cc bike ;) The Ninja is a compact, fun and reliable ride, but it does lack torque when you really need to "zhua".

1 thing that is stopping me from changing exhaust is the troublesome-ness of EFI bikes. Eg. Dyno, PC3/PC5, etc just to get the optimal perfomance.

Hi Xue Ling

Why not just do a slip-on? With the Ninja, there's really not much more optimization needed in its stock form, IMO, the performance gains will not be significant.

ok, will consider getting a slip-on instead. thanks for the advice!

Tell me more about this ninja 250r :)

Kinda keen. From what I read previously, it seems to be something of a "inline 4" am i right? How is that in any difference? Like to know on that :)

And.. OTR for current 250 would be expecting how much? :/

it's a parallel twin engine, not inline 4. OTR pricing will range between 14k - 16k depending on the COE price for that mth, ur insurance, interest rates, downpayment and loan period.

Hi all, anyone know abt the ninja 250r 2013 version?

I have emailed some shops but no reply. Asphoon say nt bringing in.

Im interested in this bike so appreciate if anyone can share info. Tks

http://www.cycleworld.com/2012/08/03/2013-kawasaki-ninja-250r/

try checking with Evershine first since they are the agent. if they are not bringing it in, then can try asking Looi's motor or Excel if they are able to parallel import in

just like the Ninja 400, Evershine say they will not be bringing it in. so far, i think Excel is the only one that brought it in (considered as PI)

called evershine, they say no plans to bring in, i will try calling excel.

would you know if there would be any potential issues for servicing/parts/maintenance for PI?

would it also affect the 2nd hand sales value if i want to sell it in future?

servicing and maintenance shouldn't be a problem. kawasaki bikes (except kr150) are well-known to have shortage of parts in SG even though it is an agent bike which is 1 of the reasons why insurance is higher as compared to honda, yamaha and suzuki.

as for re-sale value, i think it doesnt make any difference whether it is PI or agent bike. my ninja 250r was only given 4 mths or 5000km (whichever comes 1st) warranty by Evershine

For aftermarket slip-ons,can somebody advice on the choices available?

It can be non-legal as the bike is for Malaysia use only therefore non legal is alright and furthermore i believe it will be cheaper too.

Avy recommendations guys?
