Can someone please help me. I bought my bike and paid for insurance etc early this month. My bikeshop said that the bike is still waiting for LTA approval and not ready for collection yet.

It has been about 10 working days and i am still waiting. What exactly is this "LTA approval" and how long does it take? When buying new bike, what documents do you sign etc? Is the sales agreement sufficient?

i have the receipts for all the payment i made.

Hi there. Normally u will pay the downpayment , insurance and road tax and the terms and conditions to the bike shop and settle already. Not sure about this LTA approval. The bike SX is already approved by LTA already. Roughly takes about a week? Hope that helps.

Thanks cabb. Called in again to check and they said that this lta approval is where lta gives them the "number" to send the bike for physical check before they can register and put it on road. Even though sx is not a new bike model but it's normal procedure for all bikes. Apparently someone has been waiting for a month for his ex from this shop. LTA is not doing their job well. Oh. Well. Then i guess needa wait slightly longer.

It's probably the inspection that you are waiting for. Not big problem la. just ask your bike shop to keep u updated

 

Can I know where u go to do it? I heard there's 2 places I can go to and they r both in the bukit merah area.

 

Did mine at HKL. Yes Bukit Merah area.

i have a question. today is the first time i rode the bike in a proper rain. 10 mins out stuck in traffic and i can see smoke coming out from the front. got very worried, thinking something is burning.

or is it the engine is very hot and because of the rain hence the smoke. by the way this is my first class 2 bike. should i be very concern?

Its normal. The engine is hot. Imagine the engine is hot and water is splashing on it. Haha.

Even though the meter shows Eco, it still eats up petrol very fast. Stock tyres are not sticky. Unlike my Diablo rosso II.

Love the stock exhaust sound, but I hear buzzing sound too.

Love the bike but no "space" to ride hard.

I'm getting about 15 - 16 km/litre so far.. mostly riding around the city and I tend to be a little more aggressive in moving off.. maybe thats why haha.

 

Stock tyres are actually very sticky in good weather for me. But wet surface tend to slip a little when cornering.. so better play it safe

New model cant mount all 3 boxes. Only older model can if im not wrong.

I've been riding this bike for a month now. Only saw 2 bikes (new model) on road. But never seen any with boxes.

Is there many of us? Do you guys put the panniers up?
