Hey guys, have a quick technical query here for a girl who needs as low clearance as she can get for her bike.

will a 110/70 tyre be lower than a 100/80 tyre? 10mm difference? can someone confirm?

Check with any of the tyre manufacturer's website. Look under tyre profile.

The first number is the width of the tyre.. the second number is the height of the tyre expressed as a percentage of the width. Meaning if I have a 180/50 tyre.. it means the width is 180mm and the height is 50% of the width ie 90mm.

From your example 110/70 :

- "110" is the tyre width in mm

- "70" is the aspect ratio ie. the Height of the tyre side wall expressed as a percentage of the width. In this case the height of the tyre is 77mm - 70% of the width of the tyre.

will a 110/70 tyre be lower than a 100/80 tyre? 10mm difference? can someone confirm?

So 110/70 tyre is lower than a 100/80 tyre but only by 3mm.

Some other ways to lower the bike:

1) Re-cushion the seat

2) Lower front forks

3) Lower suspension settings if adjustable / change lower springs

4) Change dog bone linkage (available off eBay)

What if the tire sizes are 2.75 - 18 and 3.00 - 18? How to read?

Try not to change the tire profile as it will affect the comfort and most probably the handling of the bike. Less height = a more bumpy ride. As what was mentioned, lower the seat and get shorter springs (about 1" lower).

It's your damn bike, wash it yourself! You rinse your own mouth after you eat, don't you?

Try rear tire size 120/60, good for 2b sports bike like kr,sp and especially TZM... But go for the good brand... 120/60 metzeller sportec M3... Good tire with 2 different rubber compounds...
