HKL is superb. And Ah B is definitely honest. It's hard to find honest motordiam nowadays ... I always send my super 4 there for servicing.

Next time when I get my class 2 will still go back his place for servicing and ALL my motor needs .. unless he can't help. Period.

well, I've supported hkl since my 2B & 2A days.

I'm riding class2 now, a few bad experiences from the way they handle my bike's prob have proven me tat they are not up to do big bikes.

tat's y now I oni frequent there for engine oil & tyres and not to forget ah bee give gd price for spare parts too.

For me, I think HKL parts are the cheapers around. For me, I don't mind changing simple thing's on my bikes, like motor oil. But for repairs and everything else, I go to Unity to repair my bike. More expensive, but I trust the mechanics.

went there 2 times, bought my tank cover there... went to Ah Bee... quite a nice and frank guy... i jokingly asked for a discount... he happily discounted for me and gave me freebies...

ordered a red/black touring jacket, but the jacket for my size is out of stock, he told me and willing to give a discount if i'm interested the same design but different color...

Ha.

last year when I replaced my front and rear phantom tyres from hkl. The rear tyre was incorrectly installed, having the arrow direction facing backward of rotation. I only realised this mistake after 1 month+ when I'm cleaning my rim !!!

Went down there, B not around. The mech pushed here and there until I raised my voice wanna F*&% someone who is putting my life in danger for nothing (Do note that during that period alot of raining days).

Finally, they got the mech who replaced the tyre to correct the problem, but know what he said? Aiyo....I see the tyre thread direction 1 and it should be like that mah". I pulled a long face really to F*&@ but kept my cool. Tell him to replace it or I'll ask B who is right. Immediate he change the tyre position.

End of the day, the mech told me not to tell B for the sake of their ricebowl and I never go there again....now go Planet. :goodluck:

btw, what i did not mention....

The bike handling was kind of weird after moving off from HKL, I went to a station thinking that the air was not enough and needed to pump.

Guess what......front tyre pressure was showing 340++ and rear tyre pressure 310++ more than the recommended 200kPa

:giddy:

When I go HKL if possible try to look for Ah-Keong, he's a better mech then the rest, I think they got few apprentice, only the older uncle and the tan looking guy is the main mech the rest learner. I could be wrong.

I tend to go Planet often if its not too urgent case.
