Hey guys anyone going HKL any time this week can help to check on yoshi footrest for SP? Ah Bee mention the cost ard $110 plus installation?

hi all

just wanna share my story and encounter with HKL

and ah bee

 

well based on the experience my service of my RVF with them is good as they give my bike good treatment and attention. i see many big bikes park outside the new shop so naturally i felt abit (abit only) funny and scared that they might not entertain me, but i was wrong one of the mech approach me and ask what i wanna do, at the moment i tot maybe change engine oil and just go lor try try service but the mech straight away push my bike in on the stand and jack my bike up (the jack up thingy is a platform which will jack the whole bike up in the air like showroom like this) hmm in my heart i felt wow at least they give attention to my humble bike, so i decided to change my chain sprockets oil and air filter and plugs which comes up to abt $200+ business for that so i just sat there and look at the mech change the parts (its all new in nice packaging) in the end felt that my money is well spend.

 

now i have downgraded to a rxz and got into an accident recently but due to my mistake i have send my bike to a nearby shop in yishun which i felt their service "no so good" (knife very sharp). i straight away called HKL for AH BEE and tell him "Bee i your supporter now my bike got problem send to your shop do can." he say no problem i call my tow man go tow the bike down and settle. one word STEADY.

 

when at the shop he gives me a mindset that things will be done properly

 

i think he deserve my support and with all the attractive low interest rate last i heard 4% i will definiately get my big bike from them.

 

ps: i am not advertising for him nor i am in anyway related to him (except i am his customer) just stating MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE from how he does his business.

if you really wanna buy bike from him please call him and confirm with him before you sign anything. SOP (same old procedures)

oh, R103.. not too much into sports bike but more into naked bike and sports tourer such as Fazers, blackbird and busa..

Wah piang eh! Yesterday, I went to HKL to pay my installment and to service my bike. Arrived there, found it to be closed! What a waste of time and petrol. Checked teletext, no announcement on them being closed...

I was once grossly overcharged 2 years back for a routine servicing and I swore never to go back.

 

$20 (each) for 'original' honda spark plugs for a CBR400, that was the deepest impression. I forgot about the other stuff but it totalled to $200+.

The mechanic still suan my bike "so old bike you still want to keep for what".

 

It's good to hear that the shop has changed it's reputation but I'm not going back anyway.

any one had their bike serviced my "xiao pang"(little fatty) before?jus got my bike changed plugs by him and he sounds knowledgeable enough on big bikes..wanted to ask around before letting him do some major repairs on my bike...anyone?

Do you mean ah jiang?ya i only let him do my bike whenever i go HKL for servicing.Not that the others are not good,but i trust him handling my bike.Rest assured to let him do but of coz go ard and enquire the price for doing the major servicing.

He has been doin servicin n maintenance on all my previous bIkes.... He's really knowledgeable... Exceptionally gd at doin Big bikes...

HKL reasonably a good place to change your tyres here bcoz cheap. Interest rate for class 2 bike 4% also not bad, can buy but must find ah bee lo. Ah bee the boss is a friendly and honest guy, he always give you the best price. Standing next, ah zheng his right hand man. Cannot make it. Big hole, si bei action pack, pattern chui ka badminton. Always quote those unreasonable price, den give stupid lame reasons. ask his mechanics ard how much change this "blah blah. They dont dare to answer your question, they will ask you to go n ask ah zheng. Most of my friends go there to change tyres, sometimes service change EO, oil filter, sparksplug, wash carb. For major servicing on big bikes, only few of their senior mechanics is up to standard.

I was quite surprised to find out that their cheapest 2T (any brand, any quality) was $6! That's not much cheaper than at a Petrol Station! Actually, it's the same price (SPC sells its cheapest 2T at $6)

Dun think i wanna go back there for servicing part.. they let me wait 1 whole day and i already told them i in a rush.. Somemore that ah zheng tune my carb like anyhow 1.. zzzz.. cos b4 i go down my bike keep dieing after warm up, so i go down wanted to change plugs and wash/tune my carb hoping it'll get better. After tune the 1st few days it okay, but now back to normal again, keep dieing during warm up zzz.. Think i'll go K&T nx time!

I bought my SP from ah zheng. Alot of people tell me i kana tok. He was very nice in the beginning, after that go back he bo chap liao.

 

Btw, how often do you have to do service? I only got change engine oil and clean cabriator, what other service to do?
