Hi, i have question about insurance.. I just passed my 2b, for time being my father let me ride his bike..the question is, do i need to buy a insurance for myself? or i can just ride?

i was stop at a road block , with no wallet, licence, insurance nothing ...

Many years ago i was stopped by TP at Tuas Checkpoint on the way to Johor. I produced insurance copy but not raod tax disc bcoz I've lost it. He asked if I've really paid the tax n let me go after i said yes. A few days later i got summon letter for not displaying road tax disc.
