Aprilia RSV4. your review on this machine

Thought of getting a RSV4. Any review of it? Maintanence wise? Problematic bike? for normal valve clearance how much does it cost roughly? Any reliable workshop for repairs? Recommended or no?

fren of mine bought it like a month ago.

 

looks even smaller than my '05 CBR6, but sat on it i find the riding position pretty much identical.

 

my fren claims its more powerful than his previous '07 GSX-R1000. but its dam thirsty, running in he's only getting 8km/l. great sound though.

 

As for where to service... all my biker frens go "???".

Power is there great bike. Only drawback is fc. Need to change mapping. I used to get 6-9km/l on r model. Get aprc is useless unless u go to track. Once in a while my gear very hard to change. So far it's the best sports bike I've rode.

The best bike I've ever rode.. No doubt it has quite a bad FC / damn hot (yes! Hotter than R6), compared to other bikes, it's looks, power and handling compromises it all.. Aprilia stated very clearly that the Rsv4 was built to win race, not for show / economic.. Not forgetting the V4 GROWL....

 

It's definitely faster than the GSXR-1k btw..tested n proven

 

Few things I could remb trying on my previous Rsv4 Factory:

1) First gear top speed 140km/h

2) It's STILL torquey at 288km/h on 5th gear (no balls to go even faster, bike feels too light!)

 

Never get enough of this bike.. Overall a Fantastic bike !

Serviced my bike at the agent Aprilia agent Sporting motors.. The chief mech there knows the Rsv4 inside out..

For now im not sure how much coz still under mileage warranty pay labour lor.if ducati 1 hr $60 u die. Wei andy sure not 288. We go nshw u wack like nobody business 299km/hr haha. If fc is bad then not a good choice lor. Its a superbike same as biaggi using only need to upgrade some parts. Not reccomended to ride everyday unless work thru and fro or go orchard lor. Once a while go trackkkkkkk. Or can play with lambo hahaha
