My stealth visor also smudged up after I got caught in the rain, seems like there is some sort of film on the lens. Is there any other after-market visors besides AGV that I can fit? Or do I need to buy the original...

quality seems questionable for such an expensive helmet.

Hi everyone, fellow rider here from the Philippines. will be visiting Singapore this end of the month, can anyone give me suggestions on how to bargain at Regina specialist hehehe :cheer: . well my Girlfriend visited Sg. last year and aked her to buy me some stuffs at regina and was quite satisfied with the price. however after reading here at you forums well. planning to bargain with regina for a titech. already got a mugello manara (got it from the states). and it will be quite awhile for me to go visit there again... and shipping it from the states to my country would be very expensive as I would have to pay custom duties and taxes... well can anyone suggest how far i can bargain as to their selling price?.

and can anyone sugguest where i can buy motovation sliders and how much would it cost for an 07 R1 and where i can buy at the least cost. thanks ride safe... :thumb:

For the helmet, it all come to ur bargaining skills. As for the sliders, u can get the lowest price if u buy direct from Motovation personally. It wil give u a peace of mind.

haha juz change my avatar now its shoei X-11 ...Maybe its juz me bah . the exterior surface doesn't seem so scratch proof to me at all. U try it with toilet paper u will know liao loh. And plus interior has to use wat fibre-optic cloth to wipe . that why i choose shoei . use my lousy toilet paper wipe and clean clean also no scratches . plus AGV when kana rain the interior get abit blur blur and wipe liao also like got abit of stain on the anti-Fog layer. SO sian. The visor really sux.... Why get a helmet and have to take so special care of a stupid visor. Now my X-11 use toilet , tissue paper also no problem . The surface is better than AGV....

My advice - Avoid AGV AT ALL COST ...

no scratches (hope i dont get them later on).

the antifog thingy pretty good though, rained last night. visor is clear.

after rain i just use tissue to wipe everything. so far so good :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

i encountered this as well when i bought my gf her agv helmet.. when raining this thin film of "thing" appears and i got to use finger to rub it off.. wanted to buy for myself.. lucky i didnt.. cant imagine riding with that..

is there any ways to remove this thin film?

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

yup, noticed dis thin layer of 'film' thingy on both sides of the visor. felt a bit rough surface when i touched it. supposed it's the anti-fog layer, but it's making cleaning difficult since it will smudge the visor when using a cloth 2 clean it.

now i oni clean the outside layer...demmm. my previous arai & shoei didn't had dis kinda problem - i can clean the visor with whatever cloth i want & it'll be good as new.

btw, a/one experienced dis - my ti-tech's iridium visor coating will 'peel off' by bits when i'm using tear-off film 2gether with the visor. dat sux...

just got mine, s4 multi checkard design. helmet looks cool and light but i guess its the new cushions, my ears are folded when i put it on

Hi nelo,

How do you find the S-4 so far? How much did you get it for? I'm planning to get it as my next helmet. A review from you would be good. :thumb: Thanks.

My experience to remove the "thing", or the "film", or whatever you guys call it...... dismantle the visor, immerse into warm water, wait for 15 minutes, then use soft brush (tooth brush) to gentlely brush off the "thing". The "thing" is on both side of the visor so it will take you at least half an hour to do it. Btw, mine is a S4.

My AGV stealth visor also got this water film thing when rain, can't really see outside when riding. Then after that I wipe with tissue, become all scratches!! :giddy:

Any idea how much a replacement visor cost? Should have bought the shoei X-11 instead.

agv visor sucks.. got my s4 2 month back.. claim to have anti scratch, anti fog visor.. 1st time wear raining, for the 1st 5min everything was ok, then it started to fog up. then use hand to wipe off.. during riding. reaches my check pt, used a new polishing cloth to wipe dry, whole visor scratched!!! cannot even see though when riding at night.. ( imagine riding all the way to thailand and back without using a visor) went back to regina, 5 days later.. demand a change of the visor!! cannot change, say my cloth too rough!! i use the cloth to wipe my oakley lens also no problem.. LL need to buy another visor.. damage $45 (said to be discounted!!)

Same here, the film on the visor is not very good. Got caught in the rain and the whole thing became blurry. Just remove visor and polish off the film, should be ok but it will take a while.

So if I polish off the film in hot water all those "scratches" will disappear? No need to buy new visor?

I checked the website and the Singapore listed distributor is

SINGAPORE

YOSHIKO TRADING

NO. 35 KELANTAN LANE #01-01 - SPRING LIFE BUILDING

208652 SINGAPORE

tel. +65 6295 5449

fax. +65 6295 5433

Is this actually Regina??

Strangly I have the 2008 catalogue from the Motoshow and Singapore was not listed at all.

I owned one and it is definitely very light for a full face helmet. The S4 is at the moment one of the only 5 helmets that received 5 Star rating from UK Traffic Department Test (SHARP) even better than those more expensive branded ones. Price varies from high $300 to high $400 (PSB)

Hi S-Line!

Thanks very much for your reply.

Could I trouble you do a mini-review (or full review if you like) abt the S-4 here? Would love to hear it from someone who actually used the helmet. I wanted to get the HJC HQ-1 carbon fiber helmet but it is sold out. I'm now considering the AGV S-4.

;)

i'm using S-4. if u are buying the S-4, change the visor. should be free for one anti fog + anti scratch to anti scratch. because the anti fog for agv is useless.
