if you have the budget, yeah spec 1 is the most valued for money if you want vtec. also in better condition compared to ver s or pb. though if you intend to just get your class 2 bike once you can, ver s will suffice. but need to watch out for those already been abused. sooo need to play your cards right.

Yup. Although Super 4 is a hardy bike, but in those hands of riders that dun take care also sure jialat. So maybe u can see whether anyone u know is selling ? At least u know the service history and condition of the bike. :D

Is vtec 1 reliable? Is it too old? Is the wear and tear rate high?

I just pass my 2a hope to get 1 bike my budget around 6-7k..

IMO, if you compared to all the other 10-15 yrs old bike like RVF400 or CBR400, i think its one of the better choice. Bullet proof engine, parts is easily available and most use it for commuting. But what im talking about is in general, also got to see individual bike condition.

Its real simple, as far as the engine goes, as long as the prev owner is not those kanina every 6 months then change engine oil but use everyday, I think its all good.

Hi Guys, im also looking at a Super 4 VTEC 1. For those bikes that are already over 10yrs old and just renewed COE, is it reliable enough?

vtec 1 is the way to go. currently on a 10 yr old spec 1. from 3 years back till now. engine oil plugs n normal wear n tear only. worth the buy if u dont wanna suffer heavy depreciation. also s4 have better resale value in my opinion. ( compared to other 400s )
