Found that there isn't much discussion/info about this bike and hence decided to type out this article i read in Wheels asia magazine vol.6 no.9.

Tailor-made for size

We all know there is no such things as 'free-size' which is why clothes comes in small, medium and large for a better fit. Likewise, when it comes to looking for a motorcycle, finding a good, attractive all-round bike that 'Just Fits' can be almost impossible. At least that was until the new Honda CBF600 arrived on the scene

With its sleek styling and loads of adjustment to suit various riding posture, the new CBF600 provides a tailor-fit for small, medium and large riders.

Honda claims the latest edition of the CBF is the result of recognizing the changing demographic demands of riders. Targeted at novice riders, the CBF hopes to bridge the gap in the displacement stakes.

Initially, it may appear that the highlight of the bike is the optional ABS (Antilock Brake System) that is usually reserved for the high-end Class 2 motorcycles. Unfortunately, as it is a costly option, commanding one grand premium more, distributor Mah Pte Ltd did not bring the feature to our shores. Thankfully, there are other active and passive safety measures left intact.

A sturdy chassis for foundation is always a good beginning. Lightweight and rigid Mono-Backbone frame, similar to that used by the Hornet 900, suspends the engine as a stressed member in a diamond configuration for optimum rigidity and handling ease. Riding posture is addressed with the adjustable handlebar mounts that can be reversed up to 180 degrees for a 10mm shift in forward offset, enchancing riding comfort for taller riders. The unique "Just Fit" design features three-position adjustable seat which can be raised or lowered 15mm (front/back: 10mm). This allows a personalised fit for a wider range of riders, male and female. While it may not seem much but it could just spell the difference between riders having to tip-toe at the traffic lights and using the sole of the feet for firm balance.

What strikes you next is the attractive twin 6 spoke wheel desige which not only looks light, modern and sporty, but also houses a pair of 296mm dual piston calliper front (again unusual for its class) and 240mm single-piston calliper rear disc brakes. high performance Michelin's radial tyres complete the set-up. Ensuring maximum contact with the roads, the rugged Mono-shock rear suspension system with box-section steel swing-arm and high performance HMAS damper provide superb control for the broadest range of riding enjoyment. The compliant 41mm cartridge-type front fork feature wider fork span for lighter, easier handling and Supersport-class high speed control.

We all have heard how a big capacity bike is less vulnerable to lose its balance because of the inherent abilities to 'pick itself up' (i.e torque). honda has wisely incorporated a liquid cooled 599.9cc inline-4 engine particurlarly tuned for smoother and stronger low-to-midrange power and torque output rather than outright performance (married with the low-ratio transmission) that results in faster, more exlosive acceleration. Venting the expanded gas is the superbly finished stainless steel 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust system which terminates in large oval-section canister-style silencer. Exhaust port Air Induction system catalytic heat tubes keep emissions well within the mandated EURO-2 limits.

Like all fine Honda bikes, the CBF600 will also be made available with a broad selection of optional equipment including rear carier, top box, anti-theft alarm system. Naked and half-faired versions are available with machine price starting from $13,800 currently available only at Mah Pte Ltd.

I have only read about the CBF600.

Based on the reviews, it is positioned to be a more entry level bike, more user-friendly than the CB600 Hornet. Compared to the 600Hornet, it's engine is more for cruising and less intimidatingly rev-crazy and buzzy. It has more user-friendly features such as adjustable seat height and position and wind screen height.

I think having a screen for a 600cc bike is really useful as it contains the windblast.

My personal opinion is this, in Singapore, if you can pass your class2 license using the learner bikes of Fazer600 and others, one would have no problem handling the more powerful Hornet 600 and in turn, one might find the CBF600 a bit sedated.

So why not go for the faired version of the Hornet 600, the CB600S Hornet instead?

Unless of course, if you prefer the looks of the CBF600 or if you prefer to cruise around steadily most of the time.
