just saw 5 SGP VESPA @ hatyai on 14082012.they were outside the shop that makes number plate stickers.good for guys,a vespa even has the probation plate.cheers.

an UNFORTUNATE incident happened to me tonight. Somebody attempted to steal my bike and damaged it!

 

This happened at Serangoon Gardens, the motorcycle lots beside UOB and Standard Chartered. I went to Chomp Chomp to eat for two hours.

 

Upon returning, someone had broken my engine panel (plastic fairing, and on the LEFT), and fiddled with it. This was done with a plier or screwdriver. And my RIGHT side of the bike - mirror, fairing, exhaust was scratched deep; as if someone drove a vehicle right through and against my bike. I am puzzled as to why this was done.

 

I called the POLICE and investigation took place.

 

I am sadly disappointed that this has to happen even in Singapore, the place I call home.

 

So to all the bros here, I am deeply concerned that the Baba House lodging in Malacca needs to have a secure carpark for us to park our bikes. I definitely do not wish such an incident or worse to happen again. Sigh.

 

And if anyone saw the scene, or happened to be there and noticed suspicious characters, let me know please to help in the investigation. I ride a BLACK SYM GTS Maxiscooter. This carpark is along Serangoon Garden Way, near where cold storage is, and the motorycle lots are beside UOB and Stand Chart. My bike was at lot number 4. This was from 7.30pm - 9.30pm.

i am also unplesantly surprised that this can happened locally..

 

but we all know we cannot stop these nasty things from happening.

so i urged those scooterists who participated in trips like these to do

their own part in securing our own machines

 

trust me...in our lovely touring land Malaysia...there is nothing as a "SAFE"

parking area. bikes can be stolen right under the riders nose. hehe

Yar lah. Heart pain for me. Especially you seen my bike before, you can see how well I take care of it, and even polish and wax it.. now after what happen, sure heart pain to the max!!!

 

Sure, I've been up north many times, even on my own. There is no "safe". So what we can only do is to take precautions where possible. When I ride up there I usually park right in front of shop/hotel/restaurant where I can see it and where human traffic is high.

 

If I ever find the culprit, I will make sure he suffers to the max..

stayed there 2 sundays ago. to ans your concern, baba house has its own secured carpark with a watchman at night. just that theres no proper bike slot n max around 12 car lots. first come first serve.

 

IF can, try puri hotel. 24 hrs gated. security only opens gate when needed.
