The only thing I don't like with the X10 350 is the rear weight, I already manage to remove 8kg from it's rear compartment and finding a way to reduce another 5kg. For now it handles better unless with pillion. :)

This seems like an outdated forum group. Anyway I'm riding a brown 350 since Sept 2013. I have been getting on-off electric start problem but nothing serious. Overall a good bike with good FC. Also I have mounted my IU inside the left compartment box. Managed queezed it inside there by dealer. Will post a photo soon.

Have you asked around what causes it? I've asked Piaggio at Genting Lane but they have no idea as well.

Any issue with ERP car parks with your IU in the compartment?

So far mine no issue with starts. What is your start problem exactly? Totally cannot crank? Or can crank but cannot start like fuel/air/spark plug problem? Tried pressing the other brake lever while starting? I had X8 previously and the start issue I had was with brake microswitch, the brake still worked but the starter did not sense the brake signal thus unable to start.

The other reason I can think of is the side stand microswitch which cut off the starter as well.

BTW, I'm riding a 350 and checked online to find out certain batches got recall on the rear suspensions. Asked ADH about it and they swapped mine with a new set.

I'm reposting this issue again about wiring loom and fuse box. It is located at the back of the scooter covered by a panel from the top (together with the battery). However, it is exposed at the bottom. You can see it from underneath if you look upwards from the right rear shock absorber area. Rain and water may be kicked up into that area, causing corrosion with the electrical connections. Thus if you have electrical issues, starting issues, etc, you may want to check it out. I patched that area with some sort of foam/rubber to prevent water entering from below. Always good to do preventive measure. So far no electrical or start problem.

I've checked with ADH. They said this issue only affects those places that is wet, rains a lot. Which I think is BS. I guess we need more cases before Piaggio acknowledges the issue.

Hi guys. Any feedback from x10 500 owners besides the expose area below the fuse box?

Roughly how much to replace the transmission parts like belt etc?

Yeah, I think I better send it to the agent for my scooter check up. Sometimes starter motor never start. Funny part is while i press the starter button, i have to turn the handlebar left right until the starter motor crank.

For your case, looks like it is brake actuator switch intermittent. Possible by 'shaking' it manage to connect and start. 1 way to test is to look at your brake light, check if it is activated when you depress your brake lever.

I have no issue with any ERP carparks. The IU in that compartment works fine.

As for the starts, it's once in a while, like 2 or 3 months once. It just doesn't crank when I press the start button. I have bring down the side stand, switch oof and on again and wait for a while before the bike can crank. I think it's the signal from the brake lever that's causing this problem.

Agree that we should raise this collectively to ADH and ask them for their views.

What does this thing do?

What does this thing do?

Simply put it makes your X10 accelerate faster by raising the rpm. Akin to changing to a bigger rear sprocket on a geared bike.

X10 owners please send you bike to ADH to check whether is there a recall for your bike? They will check and if there is, they will replace it for you.

Thanks to Rac for your info, my bike rear suspension was replaced.

Hi, i have this msg (lo) on the instrument panel. Anyone know what is this msg about? I tried to surf the net and unable to find. Recently have some problem with accelerating at ard 4000rpm to 4500rpm, and occasionally engine dies off while moving slow or stopping.

Guess only ADH can decipher your error code.

Can take pic? Is it shown on the small LCD between the speedometer and tach?

Could be injector?

Do keep us updated ya.

Thanks.

Looks like ambient temperature sensor problem.

Just to check: what is the recommended cold tyre pressure for X10 500cc solo riding?

What tyre pressure u guys using for solo riding?

Just to also update, regards to the (lo) error msg: so far still trying my luck...these few days...so far so good. Called up ADH, need to send in and out for at least 2 days for them to diagnose. $80 for using the computer just to check...

Hi Kel5439,

The below are the list of problems likely and in following order :

1. The side stand kill switch could be causing the intermittent engine dying. You can get ur bike shop to disable the switch. (My current X10)

2. The right handle bar emergency kill switch , the internal copper contacts not formed properly also could be one suspect here. I had mine disassemble and Service accordingly.

3. The ignition coil and plug cable issue. You Could ask your bike shop have them change to a better quality one, current OEM one may not the best "QC-ed"

4. This ignition keyholes may the cause of your engine dying... I suffered this previously on my trusty X8.

I hope the above helps solve your dilemma.
