Original Registration Date: 25 Feb 2002

First Registration Date: 25 Feb 2002

Plate No: FUxxyyC (the numeric no of x and y forms a '$' sign and probably that's why the 1st owner paid a price to bid for this number plate)

Road Tax Renewed: 16 Aug 2012

Road Tax Expiry Date: 24 Feb 2013

COE Expiry Date: 30 Apr 2021 (Renewed COE at $2,026.00 in 30 Apr 2011)

Contact no: eight1three9three0two1

Note: For serious buyer to view only, not urgent to sell as I will continue to ride this bike to work :)

Condition (outlook) 7/10 (rust, wear and tear)

Condition (engine and parts) 9.5/10

Reasons for selling: Since I need a storage box (IMO, the rear box fits a phantom more than a Yamaha RXK), I had bought this bike from a friend in Apr 2011 and had been riding it ever since. Bike had gone through top block overhaul before I purchased from my friend. After purchased, I had the whole bottom block of the engine overhauled after it broke down while I was travelling to school. The problem was the broken gear shaft (probably due to 9 years of wear and tear) but just to be sure, I had the whole bottom engine block overhauled. Bike gives no problem ever since. However, due to my dream of owning a Vespa, decided to go against dad's wish to own a Vespa instead of continuing to ride phantom (I think everyone knows this bike is one of the most convenient transport bike in Singapore as most bike shops will know how to fix this bike and spare parts are practically lying everywhere in any local motorcycle repair shop. Just to side track, my dad was actually very against me from riding but due to my stubbornness, he had to give way. The reason why I owned a Yamaha RXK and now a Honda phantom was because that he trust the bulletproof yamaha RXK and this trustworthy Honda phantom. And he being a mechanic, he makes sure my bike is safe and steady to transport his son :)

Here's the photos of my bike.

Added a DIY mudflap to block off as much water as possible from the front wheel. Sprayed the chrome parts and some other parts to matt black due to personal liking. IU was also sprayed black with the lid covered to reduce any theft opportunities. Rusty parts on exhaust pipe also sprayed paint with anti-rust high temp silver paint. Hopefully interested buyer will like these touch-ups.

Rear tyre and Rear wheel bearing just changed in late August 2012. Box (can fit two helmets) comes with rear red light which is constantly lit up and gets even brighter when braked. Very safe bike at nite as there are two red lights (from bike and box). Chain and both sprockets were changed sometime in 2011 (a few months after I renewed the COE). Gear box and gaskets also new since overhauled the bottom block of the engine. Fork oil also changed a few months ago. Coil, bouncer, clutch cable and plug head were replaced with brand new original ones recently too.

The bike's tank was corroded by the petrol prior to my purchase. Therefore I had asked my gf to customised a black circular sticker to sticker over the area to cover the corroded parts and as well as prevent any further corrosion if the petrol ever spill out of the tank. Phantom riders, please do not pump the tank full! Potential buyers out there pls not worry about this, I will let you know how much you need to pump to prevent such spillage from happening. I had always pumped till a certain level and I had nv experienced any petrol spillage ever since I got this bike.

Gear lever was wield with a back pedal taken from my previous RXK. Wielding DIY by my dad at his work shop. This is actually a very important modification for me as I will never want the gear lever to spoil my shoes ever again. While learning riding in BBDC, the gear lever from the bikes either dirtied or spoil my left shoes! This modification is actually shoe-friendly for people who are wearing leather shoes to work :)

This is the bike for you:

1) if you are looking for a reliable second hand phantom which has all the critical parts (not only engine but also electrical components) replaced to last you a long time

2) if you like my personal touch-ups of the bike which IMO improved the outlook as well as the quality of riding.

If you're riding a bike but not calculating the 50 possibilities in the 50 meters of road ahead of you, then you're dangerous and shouldnt be on one.

Hi interested buyers. The reason why I am selling is because I am looking to buy a vespa or gilera using the money from the sale of my phantom. Therefore I am sorry that I can't accept installments (You may get a loan from somewhere).

just replaced clutch cable and plug head to brand new original ones! almost all the internal parts are changed while riding it for the past 1.5 yr lol. For the ppl who like the phantom (which is no longer in production), the risk of break downs for this phantom is reduced to the minimum as compared to the other second-hands with less parts changed.
