if its the one sold in jb, i'd advise you not to get that for your nsr. it can last almost as long as the stock irc tires ^^

spend some money, get some good bt39ss from LAB instead! its your life thou.

by judging from the depth of the threads. if the threads are less than 3mm or 2mm deep, time to change.

Actually all tyres come with a small protruded piece in the groove between the threats,

if the threats r worn off and this small protruded piece can touch the road surface,

and this is time for U to change the tyre.

just purchased a new set of BT 020 for my s4 - 120/160 for $280 w/ balancing. So far quite nice compared to my old M1. Much stable on straight & absorbing bumps especially road strips. Waiting to see my consumption & the wet weather.

Duro is a Taiwanese brand... I think some of their tyres copy the more famous treads of Dunlop and Michelin.

I'm using PilotPower. So far they've been grippy and can go down low cornering. I haven't tested them against the PilotSport or other variants so I cannot comment on which is better.

For urban riding I guess the PilotPowers offer good rate of wear and good traction. I suppose the PilotSports will offer higher traction at a higher rate of wear.

My tyres are 120/70 front 180/55 rear. Standard size for litre-class bikes. I could have also used 190/50 rear but I figured the previous rider of my bike probably wanted better cornering feel so he opted for a less wide tyre. I followed suit.

I got mine for $490 including installation from Gerry Looi at Tampines Industrial Park, behind SAFRA. It's way on the high side of prices, but he included balancing and I've been going to him all the way, so...

Agreed lor... but my tyres were relatively new... at most 2-3 months on the shelf before I bought them. I checked the tyre code [XXXX] to confirm the week/year of manufacture.

Metzeler Sportec M-3 Profile: 120/70 & 180/55 $430 plus balancing at Lim Ah Boy

Much more grip compared to M-1 as I had tried it, I give M-3 two thumbs up :thumb:
