hi.... just am wondering what is the differnce between NSR and kips? which is better? i heard kips pick up good but not so stable. NSR is said to be stable but pick up not good.... is it true? sorry la.... deciding between kips or NSR....

correct me if i'm wrong... NSR150 and SP share almost everything... they are almost the same except of the rear arm... the NSR150 if i'm not wrong is dual arm... unlike the NSR150 SP. SP runs on pro arm... meaning tat theres only 1 arm holding the rear wheel... if u notice it la... bend down and see the rear wheel and u will know the different... dun be shock if u see a nsr150 with a different rear arm as ur nsr150.... hahaha....

really alot of new SP riders.. lol.. just came back frm "rounding" with next and cliv and next's friend.. from jurong east, go to bukit timah prata, to nus prata (just eat finish QX come and chase everyone away so cause we park on pavement.. also need to run) then go west coast macs nua.. lol.. quite alright lah.

 

anyway.. cliv and i and going down HKL tomorrow again to do cliv's bike and my front brake.. if anyone wanna join us.. add me in msn ([email protected]) or sms me 90683654.. if want go rounding or wht tomorrow also can..

Hi everbody in this forum,

 

I'm new here and I need some advice from you guys/gals. . .

 

I've been looking for a SP from a few dealers, however the Price OTR differ much from shop to shop . . .

 

Eg. Shop 1 quoted FS plate (2000 Reg) for $1950 and FR plate (1999 Reg) for $2450, And Shop 2 quoted FR plate for $2800. . .

 

Hmmm, anyone could tell me the benchmark of a 2nd hand SP right nw (OTR) ??

 

Besides that, I'm a new rider , wat else Do I need to take note when purchasing from dealer a 2nd Hand SP and dO I need to invest a lot (~$500

different plate just means that the COE end earlier or later. most SP u see now were once heaps of junk rebuilt. if it looks nice, it probably was rebuilt only recently. if the condition sucks, probably it has become a heap of junk again.

 

buy from shop sure pay more than buy from private seller. and if im paying more becos im buying from shop, i definitely want a good deal and not a heap of junk. why would i want to pay so much $ for a heap of junk? if u want to standby $ for maintenance, then i'd rather u go look out for the classifieds here and get a heap of junk at dirt price and then spend some good money to rebuild it.

 

just my two cents. i've seen enough noobs becoming carrots under the chopping boards of shops.
