danielbird: there are 6gears on sp. but u only get to engage 5times.becos from gear1 to 2 is one 'kick'..and so forth.work your way up to 6th,it shall only have 5 'kicks' yoshi footrest set in jb is around rm150 or less.

eh ya forgot to tell you guys ... two days ago i went to my carpark , then happen to see another sp rider , while warming up my bike , his no. plate fell off , found out someone stole his no. plate screws.

 

after warming up i rode off , skalli i heard , ta ta ta ta ta ta , I straight away ****kkkkkkkkkkk RIDE SLOW ALSO PISTON JAM AR , THEN i realise eh i nv clutch in still can move leh , and my bike nv feel like dying off leh , SKALLI I STOP and see , Knn My chain guard got 3 red screws , two kena stolen , left one then make my chain guard scrap against my chain , LUcky got cable tie , after closer inspection ! KNN 4 red screw missing , two on left side middle fairing , and another two on de other side of middle fairing ......... after that ride half way , eh why my left side pop racing foot rest feel like not in line ar , skalli notice 1 of the screw half way out , knn ****er comfirm wan steal den half way i dont know wat happen , cos that screw is ****ing tight , cant be easily become lose , when i tigten back i quite hard to screw in back .......

nguoren: 200 is quite resonable i guess. LAB saitao around $40, headlights, maybe another $40? so spraying $120 i guess it's okay la. JB fairings are more expensive than ah boy's.

 

daniel: like i said that day, 150RM for yoshi-lousy-quality-kata. 170RM for slightly-better-quality-kata-but-weird-brand. lol. it's the cheapest alr. believe me.

u park at MSCP or normal carpark? if MSCP den very common lah...like my case.. my bike got stickers...then the idiots tear off MOST of it..but the worst thing is dat they never take man..they throw it on the floor!! after replace the stickers i replace new one...a week later same thing happen again! Fu*k!

 

they peel the stickers from my bike and throw it on the floor! now i cover my bike using the sheet!

 

anyway fixed my clutxh cable myself liao...ask my cuz to buy SP clutch cable..now ok!

it's normal to think that you have 5 gears, because you count the number of times you kicked up from gear 1 to gear 6, which is 5. initially i thought my bike had 5 gears too, lol.

sometimes i feel tat if these kinda things keep happening.. i would camp there with some friends.. wait for tat bas***d to come out den we juz lup him n call police.. i think my bike was not hit by vehicle but was damaged by some jealous assholes becuz how can a drop damage my fuel key hole? quite sianz lar.. hate to waste these kinda money..

I'm getting an NSR SP soon and need your advise on several things:

 

1) The Fuel consumption? How many km/litre?

2) What type of insurance is better for this bike? Comprehensive/2nd party?

3) What should I check first when I get bike...?

4) Any long term issues/problems that I should be wary about?

5) Any shop to recommend, which is highly skilled in servicing/repairing NSR SP bikes?

1) on average 20-25km/L

2) mitsui 3rd party wld be more than enuff ~$380

3)basically save a sgd$500 and bring to msia to do overhauling and full servicing its more recommended.

4)mainly wear and tear if u take care of it well.. those must change stuff. engine oil , spark plugs , chain , tyres.

5)in JB loh haha. in sg i'm not so sure but the got good n bad pts would be HKL,planet motors ect. it all depends on your luck. for cheap and cheong parts LIM AH BOY haha

Thanks for your help, bros and sistas...

1) for me.. the FC is 30.1 km/litre.. dunno how the previous owner tune one.. quite fuel economical..

2) i got 3rd party + fire & theft from NTUC.. but if u buy comprehensive.. u can claim if there are any accidents n u can't find the culprit.. eg. for me is my bike got sabo.. den gotta pay the damages myself..

3) i got my neighbour to check for me.. but if u get pple like Samuel or ravenSP to help u.. i think u can get a good deal.. they are the pros.. haha..

4) if u plan to ride the bike for long, like me.. den juz maintain it well.. be willing to spend money to keep ur bike in the best form.. loving ur bike is like loving urself.. haha..

5) i did my research online in SBF.. the recommended shops in SG will b PlanetMotors, BikeWerks.. these are the 2 motordiams tat are super duper highly recommended by SBF forum pple.. or u can go JB with the SP riders.. i will go n try.. for 2B bikes.. going JB will b saving half the money.. but the parts used mayb inferior to SG..

 

 

i dunno.. juz i hav learnt these past 1 mth.. correct me anyone.. i'm newbie.. hohoho..
