something worth commenting on..

ytd felt my engine vibrating at gear 1-2, battery weak, headlights flickering heavily etc etc

went to xhm talked to the long hair guy.. the guy that used to work for khm & hou heng

he told me might be engine problem, say need to open engine see, cause might be very serious.. time was of issue hence i asked him need to take how long and the cost.. he told me an 1hr to open engine, many several hours if serious problem and need to fix.. and rm100+++ just to open engine

since i do not have the time and doubt it was the problem with the engine.. i went back and returned to hou heng today.. took hao less den an hour to fix the fuse/socket problem and costs rm35 including servicing for changing some sockets and wires, fixing new horns and brake pads, rewiring of wires etc

there are more details about how he compared prices and service quality btw the 2 shops which i shall not go into..

do note: im not rulling out the possibility that that guy sincerely believed that it was an engine problem even though he knew and helped out with the full servicing of my bike @ hou heng just a couple of weeks back. just that, what if i really left my bike at xhm? would i have expected the service charges to be over rm100+?

anyways.. anyone wanna change meter box? i'm offering a cash top up for a good condition meter box.. more if we trade meters.. mine's original

Can! u r not wrong...

but.. since u need to drop ur engine to take out ur crankshaft for the replace of con-rod and bearing.. might as well u change the whole engine bearing and oil-seal.. if not next time u have to drop ur engine again for another bearing or oil-seal replacement...

since its the workmanship tat cost you more then the small small bearing and oil-seal...

:goodluck:

den if i change the whole engine bearing, oil seal, conrod, conrod bearing plus the piston and piston ring how much would be the estimated cost?? any idea guys?

who? danny?

he used to work for xinghock with ah jie and ah pin. then he went further up to work for another shop, then he left that shop (let's call that shop A) and went to work for another shop B.

now he's back at xing hock cause ah pin needs manpower.

i understand that hou heng shoots xing hock and vice versa. it's common between all shops doing the same trade.

but i prefer xing hock as i believe they give me good prices and good service. although waiting time is longer, the job is done properly. and furthermore i know ah jie and ah pin personally so it's easier to talk things out.

rather than go hou heng and use sign language to talk to the malay mechs. and ah hao doesn't seem interested to entertain me. and he's missing all the time. and everything that i ask the other mechs or the girl there (which always acts like i owe her money), they will refer me to ah hao, which will be missing or at the back of the shop doing don't know what.

as for the lady.. she's the wife of ah hao.. yea she looks scary.. today was the first time she smiled at me lol.. maybe i look more yandao after a haircut

as for the mechanics.. i used the adviced from another forumer(give them cigarettes) and it works like magic.. lol

don't worry. i'll highlight this issue to ah pin. i don't really like this danny guy too. i'm going in tomorrow afternoon to overhaul my wave. knn buy one bike overhaul one time. arghhhh.

i wish i had 2 chais with me at starbucks man. haha. it wasn't me. been a long long time since i went out with girl/girls alr. sad ):

SG do top overhaul (polish block/change piston/piston ring + misc gasket, oil seal etc) alr $300 plus.. top and bottom overhaul should cost more than $600 including workmanship.

while in JB, doing the same stuff you did in SG would cost you most to most 1200RM. maybe can even get a recondition block too.
