Hi guys, Anybody did their wheel bearing b4. Recently my rear tire shake like f#@k when cornering. Mech said its my wheel bearing spoilt liao. Must change. He quote me 100 plus. Any comments on it? I poh kai liao.

sp rear wheel bearing is not cheap. becos its pro-arm. unlike frnt wheel bearings. better to check with a more reputable shop

i was with guoren lor. LOL. i would say, planet prices are reasonable. may not be the cheapest in sg thou. but wadeva ah chong says need to change to solve ur problems, it's guaranteed.

 

air filter for sp, is it the sponge in the airbox? can do w/o it. but use airbox.

Erm, i not really sure. All i know it's something to trap the stones and dust from going into the piston, or else the piston will be damaged. I think the air filter is something below the fuel tank. Any idea?

ok from wad i had on my sp, airbox but w/o the sponge (sponge is inside airbox). i think the filter refers to the sponge? even if dirt gets into ur airbox, it'll most prolly gets trapped in ur carb. very unlikely it can get into combustion chamber. just wash ur carb monthly if ure super kiasu lor.

 

if ure talking about replacing airbox with those 'posh' cone shaped air filter, then i dunno since i've nv used it b4.

dunno how much the clutch plate is, nevber change before.

i changed clutch plates at agl... RM$180/-

 

 

u change clutch plate, u have to drain engine oil/coolant all tis..

 

then have to buy Engine oil lor..

 

 

so mine is RM$180 + RM$35 = RM$215

 

if change in singapore... i don't know lor... keke..

Wheel bearing that costs 100+? What brand? Sealed roller bearings also never cost that much..They use some alien technology metal is it? Change mech la..Seems like he has already betrayed your trust..

i not sure but i changed front bearing 29. at planet too

totally agree. even if its not the cheapest in sg. ah chong say what = what. he dont blow up the problem and make u change unneccessary things. and even if its not the cheapest, its still reasonable. doesnt chop.
