anyone know if SP headlight bulb can be purchase other thAn motor tiam?

I dun wanna go motor tiam for a lightbulb leh... waste time.

i have 2 stock ones (still working) ...u can have it for free if u want but i dunno why they seem dimmer than the new ones i changed to....now i juz blow one blub also ...haiz ....2nd time blow bulb already

But i prefer to get new ones. cos it's for inspection only.

so where can i get it??? no choice then have to go motortiam lor...

hello guys... some of u said go servicing once every 3000 to 5000 mileage travelled... is that true? that means about 3 weeks go once arh? so often meh? any motortiam in west to recommend for servicing sp? how much everything cost?

the headlight got one sticker that attempts to make the single headlight look like double headlight like SP

dont think it looks nice.....although it does achieve the effect of making it look like a pair of eyes.....but the eyes not big enough or as fierce as SP one

you can try those shop that sell electronic parts, usually located at neighbourhood areas, should be cheaper than motordiam...also depends where you live

you got stock bulbs? can i have it? cause my bulb always blow...now when got daylight i never on lights, at night then on headlight liao...in order save my bulb life

3000km unless you damn rich lah, but usually dont need so often lah, every 5000km go is already more than enough loh, or every month go once already more than enough

 

as for motordiam...west side got alot lah, bukit merah lane is 1 hot spot

 

as for cost, it depends what you wanna service, if normal service of change spark plug and engine oil, $20 is enough for sp

u travel 3000-5000km in 3 weeks ah??

so fierce?!

anyway for simply as a guide

if u change full synthetic engine oil...change at ard every 5000km

for semi synthetic oil....change ard 3000km

mineral oil not recommended generally

 

think almost all motordiam u can find will do servicing of SP or any 2-wheeler one lorz

depend on what's the price they charge nia

why take chances and let TP have the possible opportunity of giving u a nice ticket?!

anyway dont think go inspection need new bulbs so kua zhang lar.....

frm what i knw

if u only fail for the headlight check section

they will let u conditional pass one

actually theres really not much difference whether we got switch on our headlights anot in broad daylight i feel...especially the glare from the sun is even brighter than my headlight

when tp catch got difference liao lo. never on headlight no matter in day o night, $30. no cham xiong wan. no point also lo waste money on them. use tat money can pump petrol 1 wk liao lo. bulb always blow maybe because u change bigger batt n the bulb cannot take it o ur bulb volt too low lo, tats why always blow.

the tripmeter there put 5000 is it mileage 5000? if it is then ya lor... 5000++ in 3 weeks... now engine feels rough when run...

how much is a rear brake pump..my pump got problem men...eat liao dun wan let go ...

 

cos the bike shop quote me 50+ to repair the pump..if the pump is cheap..i might as well chg the whole pump... any 1 noe can help?

ya the tripmeter shows how far you travelled if you never set it back to 0000, wah you really travel alot leh

 

sp engine tend to be rough, especially since most sp now already few years old liao...engine getting rougher and rougher

i just changed my brake pump kit yesterday, had same problem as you...went to service my pump kit for $18, seem to be ok but problem came back recently, so just changed the pump kit, not the whole thing.

 

i was quoted $45 at first, but due to the fact that i spent $18 last time for servicing it, he charge me $35...anyway i know the boss quite well, thats why its abit cheaper

which one? the trip meter (the bottom smaller one..) goes up to 999.9km only...

 

only the total trip meter (the one on top) goes up to 99,999.9km.....

 

5000km/3weeks.. wow...

Brighter headlights are important regardless of day or night. it's to inform other road user of your presence... I very kiasu mah...

anyway wanna change for inspection might as well change to a brighter one....

but brighter must be careful.. check the watt ratings becos too hot may melt ur casing.
