No need a few ppl ... Yesterday a mech up'ed my bike into the tow lorry with my handlebar locked, alone ...

This diagram should explain how to change it ... Take note that there is no need to take out the saitao - juz reach below the metal bracket.

 

Also do get yr rectifier checked - bulb blowing due to high RPM could be due to over-voltage, resulting from a faulty rectifier.

Spark Plug --> According to Honda's recommendation, it is every 8000 km. But personally I prefer to do it every 5000 km or so. More frequently if yr 2T intake is huge, as yr spark plug will reach end-of-life sooner.

 

Battery --> When u notice that the headlights are dim, or that the neutral light goes off when yr ignition is on but the engine is off, or that pressing the horn causes the indicator/meter lights to dim significantly ... This is an indication that yr batt is weak.

 

Charging may help to revive the batt, but as a general guide if it's more than 6 months old or from a previous owner, change it. No point spending time to charge a batt that is nearing end-of-life, only to have it fail in a couple of days/weeks again.

 

Take care of yr batt by not switching on the headlights when yr engine is not running - as power will be consumed while the batt is not charging.
