depends on your fc, and the route travel. say 900 up, 900 down. 1800km about 9 tank petrol. 2t wise, maybe 2+ bottle.

depends on each preference.. if u like to race, like to speed.. how often are you at the low-mid rpm range.. rarely.. u r normally on the mid - high range..

 

for those relac 1 corner seldom speed.. pickup is the choice for u.. cos u uses low-mid range rpm..

 

but if ur top too lean.. insufficient fuel going in also might lead to a piston seize..

 

 

 

428/520 no theory that it's for pickup/topend.. it's just basically the sprocket size.. 428 is smaller in size.. therefore lighter and better response..

 

pickup : bigger sprocket (just like scrambler.. big sprocket pickup fast.. no top speed)

topspeed : smaller sprocket (just like those racer bicycle[the thin thin wheel one].. see their sprocket damn small.. but they r damn fast.. (compared to nrml bicycles..))

 

 

 

best is use those uncle uncle bicycle.. put ur sp engine enough liao..

 

i think lost is saying about lean mixture gives better pick up....?

 

lean mixture not only will hurt the piston, lean mixture also gives a hotter combustion (theory is that in the presence of higher oxygen ratio, more co2 is produced, as compared to rich mixture combustion where more co is produced, whereby the formation of co emitts lesser heat energy). In whole, too lean is dangerous and damage ur engine... but sp rarely overheat one right?

 

of cos, with new technology, researches are done on ultra lean combustion engines to make more fuel efficient vehicles.

 

"These engines can either be full-time lean burn, where the engine runs with a weak air-fuel mixture regardless of load and engine speed, or part-time lean burn (also known as "lean mix" or "mixed lean"), where the engine runs lean only during low load and at high engine speeds, reverting to a stoichiometric air-fuel mixture in other cases."

 

but IMOHO, i think for 2b bikes, keep ur tuning as close to stoichiometric level (as to attain stoichiometrical mixture is impossible) as possible to gives the optimum performance throughout the range.

 

 

Thx for the answers bros...btw to clarify..428 is for topend right? if i want better pick up i should change to a bigger sprocket size? what else can i do to improve pickup without tonging endcan?

 

hmmmm.... one thing need to ask all the lao jiaos here.... when u guys say 428 is smaller than 520, which part of the hub is smaller? the no of teeth? diameter of the spocket?

 

i just changed my 525 stainless to 520 afram aluminium coversion at 250bucks cos mech told me can improve pick up as it 520 afram is much lighter and reduce the total weight of the turning mechanism... quite similar to the reason why ppl like to change to spooky rims which are much lighter...

Scarp liao la brother. it was in yr 2000. it was tuned by a legendary mech during dat era. IIRC he was from ideal motors nickname ah-black his an Indian. after dat he open his shop somewhere in desker rd. funny thing is whenever he tunes a bike he will push in a small cubicle and close a curtain not letting anyone see wats his doing. only can hear him blowing ur bike.

 

i think i heard of the mech before leh...
