hey guys been having this problm for quite some time and its pissing me.

Sometimes when im cruising , i clutch in / clutch in and release abit of clutch to engage engine brake (checked my clutch liao , its full freeplay) , i can hear the chain like grinding against something, (i've loosed and tightened the chain a dozen times already , doesnt hlp really much). im sure its gona wear my chain off somehow . replaced new bearing coz old one spoilt but problem is still there, some one advise me please.

the chain issue i not sure but then its not good to engine brake on a 2stroke. cause no independent lube for the piston except the 2t pump. then during engine brake no 2t is being fed to the piston so it might cause a piston jam in the long run.

cos gt 1 malay boy riding a sp base white with red told me u guys can know whats wrong with bike easily

guys anyone knows other reasons which will cause my sp bike fc to be poor?

 

i know carb is one of the main reason. my carb already checked and washed by andy. and erm all the parts inside the carb faulty one replaced already. (needle, rubber tube) but ride back the fc is still like 150km per full tank leh.

 

the carb setting is also tuned already. but still does not seem to help. anyone got similar experience.? im hoping i dun have to change the expensive parts of the bike like pistons or smth. and btw im not the type that rev very hard on my bike one. really wan to get this fc thing solved.

 

can anyone advise?

Who said engine braking is bad for 2 strokes?

The 2t pump is the 1 lubing the piston.

Unless u switch off the ignition while riding then the pump will stop lubricating the piston.

Or if u use premix without the 2T pump then its bad for the piston. Cos insufficient 2T will enter as the throttle is closed.

Dats is y there is a term blipping. To feed a mixture of petrol & 2T into the combustion chamber at high RPMs to prevent seizure and to stop rear wheel locking if the power of engine braking is too strong.

just confused the bold words,

switch off the ignition while riding(without clutch-in), doesnt affect the 2T pump stop work,

coz NSR150SP's 2T pump is fully running by mechanical, its not same like YCLS from Yamaha's bike.
