hey guys, is it okay for me to get a bike first but not the insurance?

if u have someone else with a 2b license u can buy insurance under his name..

else u have to lay it up..

if you are laying up u have to tow to inspection and renew road tax when u are ready to ride.

i would suggest not to unless u are pretty sure to pass. cause i've been through it and not being able to ride it while it being in ur carpark might be an agony

I have 1.2k cash on hand now but ill be working for the whole of march which i then have more money for my bike.

Nope my parents are not sponsoring, im thinking of getting it under hire purchase so that ill be able to pay it off w my part time job earning every month. Guess im gonna get chop like a carrot but this is my only choice or i will have to go for a re-loan. And also i wont want to bother my relatives( really clueless) as my parents are not really supportive of me getting a bike and least say having them as my guarantor.

your insurance is a killer, and u will wanna mod your bike and that takes more money.

I was like you, when i was young i have already grew interest in bike too. So when i was 16 i work part time etc.... and yeah i save up quite alot..

All my license petrol parking insurance, all were paid by myself. Some of my rich friend all got the privilege their parent sponsor everything for them car & bike. I can only tell you the best is get from a private seller.

Because if u get from shop installment will kill you + petrol and the insurance. Best is pay by full cash. Don't be like some of my friend get from shop end up cannot pay up installment bike kana tow. Make sure u have enuff fund before u buy a bike / stable job. And prepare 1-2k aside if any problem arise.. SP is actually one of the cheapest 2b bike compared to other bike already. No point paying installment and some shop can jack up the price until 3k, which u can buy around 2k from a private seller.

Do you know of any bike shop?

Buy from me, no need guarantor haha.

Anyway, my advice is to buy after u passed ur TP.

I have am issue with my so far problem-free SP.

Some months back, I changed my battery cos it died. Recently, I find that the battery seems to be dying too and I'm not sure if it's charging properly. I did observe something though.

Previously, my lights will get brighter when I twist the throttle and it dims when the rpm drops to idle. But now, when I apply throttle, the lights have the following transition: Dim-Brighter-Dim. The lights get brighter when it is around 3-3.5k rpm. Once above or below that, it dims (idle level brightness).

I suspect it might be my rectifier or magnetic coil. Anyone knows the ballpark figure for the replacement of these parts would cost?
