Piston and its ring cant be serviced... Spoil liao muz replace.... Forgot how much liaoz... pai seh...

make sure when u service,see ur piston whether got scratches or dents.if haf chang new one.as for the piston ring i tink quite cheap.sp150 got 2 piston rings.i tink 1 cost bout 12-15rm.

new piston cost bout 80dollars in sg

just do a full service. wash your carbs and piston. change your piston rings and have your carburetor tuned. the effects will be immediate.

i used to ride sp.nebe take care,seldom service,drop a few times....

at one point my bike haf tis sandy2 sound......malay call "bobok"

tried everything full service,change piston ring change piston tuned carberator.

at last open up engine....so black...and some of the parts inside loose.tats y it causes the sandy sound.sold tat bike....to the next owner.gdluck!

sorry i'm kinda slow, i don't understand what you're getting at. what were the parts that were loose? which part of the engine was black?

....its so black and sticky...despite changing the engine oil but due the the fact i made a mistake of not maintaning it earlier...the bearing loose i tink...not sure didnt dare to touch it.but its the cause of the sandy sound.

tat sound is bee sound rite? my sp serve me well for the pass 2 years..dunno if i should do up the bike and keep it or sell it and change another bike now... :confused:

btw bike shop take in fr plate sp for how much now? appearance not so good already..if keep must do full sevice change this change tat den respray dunno worth it or not leh..

Piston could around $150-$200, piston ring is around $20 and U need two.

 

Sandy sound may not just be from loose parts or cain the engine itself could also be the problem. But strange that U mention after going through the full service sound is still there?

I seldom pump air for my wheel, maybe once every 3 mths? I tend to leave it to the motordiam to do for me.

Sandy sounds could be due to very dirty engine oil aka gear oil...

Proper air pressure is important for not only safety reasons but also things like comfort and fuel consumption. Worthwhile to check at least once a week. And also check when the tyre is not too hot
