anyway, petzl, shall we go AGL tmr? need to check on my rear wheel. its abit shaky. and pump also.... maybe meet at 9pm then head straight there. dun wanna end too late cos tmr still got work. anyone else want just join us.

hmmz.. i think i am pretty doen wif AGL.. not gonan go back there and touch mine engine.. maybe clear exahust or simple simple and realli simple stuff....

thanks for ur help anyway... i think if i overhual mine blodoy engine.. i'll do it at mine mechanic also.. so far go so many million times.. crashes after crashes... he did a great job...

though certain things abit more pricy.... but he do swee swee for me.. if u wannne e add.. its at boonkeng road there.. 20-30m from ducati show room... 123bike trading... ya...

whats overhaul?change wad ting durin overhaul??

To answer your ques on what is a engine overhaul based on my limited knowledge:

Overhaul is bascially replacing the parts in your engine that r excessively worn out or damaged eg e pistons, rings, valves, cylinders.

So when do you know an engine overhaul is needed on your bike?

The indicators are:

1)

Piston jam whereby e bike died suddenly, possibly with a loud clunk, and e inability to start after that.

This is e most obvious indicator.

2)

Blue exhaust smoke and excessive FC:

Due to wearing out of e rings which allows fuel to escape into e exhaust sys, and combusting inside there, usually creating a backfire.

The blue exhaust smoke is e 2nd most obvious indicator.

3)

Difficulty in starting and loss of power once you get it started:

Due to low compression caused by e wear or abuse (lack of 2t) of parts like the rings or due to a blown head gasket.

This indicator may not be obvious to e beginners and is certainly more obvious to e one who has been riding e bike for some time.

4)

Excessive noise such as knocking and banging:

Due to excessively worn engine or of some part that is about to fail.

While e engine is not an exactly piece of quiet machinery, there should not b unusual or excessive mechanical noises.

Should you overhaul e engine based on this?

I cannot say for it is a judgemental call.

This is also the least obvious indicator and the one which u should not based on totally.

In some cases, multiple problems may be present.

With so much said, many common problems can be remedied without going into the deep dark recesses of the engine. Always try to eliminate all other possibilities from consideration before considering an overhaul.

Anyway an overhaul will usually set u back by around sgd 500.

there are too many factors that affect FC le... even the amount of pressure that inside ur tires count.... Overhauling may not solve the problem...

its just your tuning.

kpkb no use. go retune it. the shops at AGL very standard one, they tune for 'performance' (their view of it anyway..) so if you want good fuel consumption, you had better tell them that. and i kinda only go to KHM and sometimes Hou Heng to do my bike. any probs i go back and they'll rectify it.

so there.

my tire is 180 as it's been modified by one of the previous owners. I did pumped it up to 32 psi but it just went soft in a few days time. anyway i'm not riding it anymore. so i'm just too lazy to repair again.

the problem u're facing is the reason why i wanna take up course for automotive tech. Repair my own bike. lol...
