  1. 1. What should I do?

    • Get 2b and switch to 2a during NS (stable income)
    • Skip 2b for 1yr, get class 2a (save money for bike til class 2a)

My advice is:

1) Pass your 2B license, but don't buy any bike since you got family car to use, plus you are jobless and have no financial income

2) Wait for 1 year, then go take class 2A license

3) By then, you should be in NS. Build up your savings.

4) Pass your 2A license, and if you feels you NEED a bike, get a 2B bike to trash around. Trust me, dropping bike isn't fun on a 2A bike, and this process of dropping bike is one that not many can siam.

5) Got time and money, go take class 2.

In short, only get a bike when there is a real need, plus have enough money on hand, not future money. For me is I built up my reserves during a full time job after NS and before going into Uni, then I bought a bike. I would suggest starting with a cheap kup as fuel mileage is excellent and parts replacement is cheap.

Exactly why I prefer to cruise than speed when I'm driving even when I know I'm being wrapped around by metal because I'm in a car

yeah what im trying to point out is that riding a 2-stroke bike doesnt always mean that you have to speed while riding...and what others had advised is, go and take ur class 2b license first. after passing then you can think about buying the bike or not....dont stress urself yet before getting ur license..just my 2 cents

Bro, your words really hit the right button in my head. I get the financial part that you're telling me. My concern now is if I skip 2b, will I lose my skills after a year? And I plan to work as a rider for pizza or kfc maybe? Not to chase the money but more on to kill time while waiting for 2A, at the same time having the chance of riding a bike.. Is my plan feasible? Experience + money if I follow take that route

Class 2b - 08 March 2013

Class 2a - 11 September 2014

Class 3 - 25 July 2011

I also feel that either get a phantom or nothing..

Bike is really either passion or u really need transport daily then buy.. if not nessasary, ur parents can fetch u to camp then you should just get license and when serving army u will feel the freedom of no liabilities.. maybe can find a gf to spend ur money on.. haha.. anyway if u dont ride ur bike will still depreciate.. ur hardearn money will partly be lost..
