me riding vtec one too... can try to maintain ur throttle at around 4500 rpm when riding at highway. the mileage should be better. mine can travel till 330km before the light blinks. maybe there is more better ways out there to save petrol.

Try changing gear at 4-5000rpm

On expressway 90km/h

usually go abt 300km+/- before i go pump petrol(think i can go more,but i didn't try)...managed to put in abt 12-13L of petrol

 

change gears ard 4-5k rpm...

mine is ver s . change gear at 4k like that too.. expressway also travel at 100km/hr.. 19 to 20km per litre too.. time to do some tunning eh ??? heee

my vtec1 without reserve is 350-360km average 23-24litre/litre. chg gear mostly at the 3.5-5k rpm range. smemore i always have pillion behind. average riding speed with/ without pillion 80-90km/hr sometime nai then go 110km/hr but cos girl afraid high speed thus always ride slow. So could be your riding habit. i had once hit my reserve even b4 reaching 300km but bcos i drag gears to 6k rpm then chg and ride 100km/h.

 

i now using vpower. not sure whether it's mindset thinking or watever, i find use vpower like more powerful it's like wat the shell slogan says higher mileage. i used to pump synergy 5000 average 310km with my above mentioned riding style so shell could have reali done something to it's fuel.

hi, VTEC 1 here too, bout 320 start blink, uses 95, change gear at bout 6k, seldom open VTEC, maintain at 100km/hr at highway.

maybe muz change 95 liao...cheaper too

mine just went Eunos SBC to do top overhaul... same leh... no change in fuel consum....sigh...

do you all face this problem ??? LED a while blinking a while one bar...so i cant really say when mine actually start blinking ....but mine about 320 already start to blink occasionally ...is this normal ?

think because its a float sensor.....so as u move it move around n blinks....but when stop at traffic n stable.....tat more accurate....but only on level ground.....if going downslope.....it reading more......go upslope its reading lesser.....think so

 

normally after a while of 10km then the blinking stays....to me its the start of reserve...50-60km to jb signal

Most probably your carb has been modified.. Seriously, 2nd hand bike u just might be lucky/unlucky enough to get a modified bike. Some people change back to original cause they dont like it(but regret later). why not try the top speed and performance first and see whether its worth the extra fuel comsumption...?

Just my opinion..
