My S4 consumption was low like average about 23.5km/l for the past one year than now it had dropped to 21 plus km/l. Anyone can advised me wat to do. Thanks.

Bike is one year old and knn filter changed a year ago. using 98 octane petrol. I am the only owner. Have not changed anything yet as it is still working well. Only normal servicing done. using maxima EO. Very smooth still after 3000++km clocked.

Pls let me know wat you do to solve this if you have encountered before. Thanks to all.

I don't think anybody mentioned to check your tyre pressure  At 90kg, you might need to run rear pressure on the high side.

Just now pumped petrol and now its 20plus not even 21km/l. Maybe its my tyre. But pump full liao still same same like that. Anyway will see how this tank goes. Could it be me not changing spark plug or air filter wet due to this few days of heavy rain. Cos I rode all the time in this rain.

Thanks man.

Guys,

I just bought first hand spec 3 and am on my 3rd full pump now. The mileage breakdown i noticed are as follows:

1st pump mobile synergy 8000 - Full tank got me 376 km "when just touched reserve" (blinking indicator)

2nd pump mobile synergy 5000 - Full tank got me 417 km till bike die down at SLE (no more petrol liao - dried up)

3rd pump mobile synergy 5000 - Still testing (5 bars left after 146 km) but the bars drop faster eg: goes to 4th bar after additional 70 - 90 km and decreases on the next bar and so on. Reserve seems to tahan about 70 - 90 km till tank dries up.

Am running the engine-in at the moment, average speed is 70 km to 80 km/h. Sometimes 120km to 140 km/h with pillion to feel shiok shiok !!!

Another friend of mine whom bought same spec 3 same time as me, pumps Shell V Power & got 440 km from his 2nd pump and bike not yet die half-way like mine!!

We are now testing which petrol is good.

Cheers....

Its abt there normally i do abt 420 still haben kena res. :)

unless u mass with ur spocket or tiers size (oversize rear 150 or 160 ) may drop to 380 and kena res.

My Version S clocked 400km full tank. I very throttle happy cos I like to hear my exhaust note. Most of the time have pillion weighin bout 70-80kg.

Set-up:

Front tyre 120/60

Rear tyre 160/60

Rear sprocket 45

Is the consumption high? Sometimes we cannot see how much we have travelled when we hit reserve cos like my bike, my reserve is 5 litres which can last me bout 110km +/-... I tried and I found that I travelled 400km and pumped in bout 17.6 litres of petrol.
