HEY..!! THAT'S NOT FAIR...!!

 

6.2k and you're hitting 90kmh... that's really good compared to me needing to hit 7k+ to hit 90kmh. Haa...

 

i think i need to service my bike soon. Brakes level after just 1 month of usage, and it's not very effective. need to pull back quite alot to apply brakes.

4k move off

6.2k- 90 km/h

7k-100km/h

 

Max FC 380 / full tank

 

Therefore I think you guys are on the safe side

any of you using the HP mount on the scooter? Sometimes i wanna use the GPS function on HP, but without the mount is annoying.

 

Any idea where to get the mount together with installing and price for it?

Hi All GTS 200 riders, thinking to join the Maxi scooter club. SYM GTS 200 is one of it on my list.

 

Been searching around for the under seat compartment picture but cant seem to find it. Only found VTS 200.

 

1)what is the difference between VTS and GTS?

2)GTS 200 underseat able to put one half face and one full face?

3) Any issue traveling on expressway? As i read somewhere in the forum that the top speed is only 100km/h?

Based on what i read (might be wrong)

 

1) VTS is malaysia version of GTS in singapore. Just the name change, and besides, we do not have SYM VTS in singapore.

2) Can only put 1 helmet underseat, but other stuff like raincoat, bags can squeeze in. but definitely not 2 helmets (even 2 half face), tried and it's not possible.

3) no issue at exp way (singapore max speed limit is 90kmh, so 100kmh should be enough for that limit? I have not tried top speed yet, but i read previous post that someone did like 120-130kmh. You might want to dig a little over the posts...

For those who wan handphone mount , can try to look at this http://www.facebook.com/grabongrips.sg . They selling it for $99 nia. Seem not bad.

 

This is the only one i know of.

 

Mel: Proper run in and maintenance, and u will get a smooth ride to achieve the speed vs rpm. ; )

Fully syn like motul 300v is totally smooth.

Agreed that the braking power doesn't seem to be very good leh, however heard fellow gts 300 riders commented it is good( maybe due to their dual disk brake ba)

Hi 1ririz,

 

I believe you are referring to the fog lamps. Those you need to install separately as it is not installed by default. Thats why you couldn't find the switch.

Feel free to discuss any issue in this grp. We have a few knowledgeable members here

 

Regarding the FC, it always depends on each throttle style.

I managed 380 km for full tank , not throttle over 6.2k rpm or travel @ 90 kmh

 

If your bike is new, you shd see an increase in FC after proper run in.

If used bike, some members commented that a change in Air filter shall do the trick.

 

Beside you interested in Alex's Yss rear shocker ar. So fast wanna Cheng/upgrade your bike?

Quite interested in getting a scooter after getting the license.

 

May I know between Sym and kymco scooter which one is more durable? FCs and cost of parts.

 

 

 

 

 

Im using GTS 200.. automatic, relax and come with 13 litre fuel tank.. able to put your leg at the side of the bike during rain. Good because you will not wet your shoe as much..

 

Added mod into it.. Speaker, system ,antenna,back givi box(if that consider) and battery voltage reader.

 

The best thing is, i still can put 3 helmets ,rain coat and and etc ..The best mod i think i done is the speaker,sysmtem and antenna . able to listen radio,songs from thumbdrive, songs from disc on the move.. Due changing mode of transportation, im letting go..

Another question. i found out that, i do can smell rubber burning smell after a short ride too. Does it link to a spoiled rectifier, that why it is burning the battery?

Thats normal... i used to encounter the burning smell but no more.. not to worry bro, just ride ot..

Now my reason problem os my fuel comsuption is high...it used to ride till 360km with 110-130km riding speed but now 320km only...new airfilter was replace...

Could it be the carb?

Back from a 6-day, 2000km round Malaysia trip on my GTS.

Stopped at Kuantan, Kelantan, Penang, Cameron Highlands and Malacca.

Will post some pictures after they are sorted out.

@yuze90: rear shock is your bike rear suspension/spring loh. It helps to dampen any bumps that cause your wheel to hit the bike body.

 

Hey guys, do anyone experience back aches while riding our GTS 200? me and Alex seem to experience back aches often in our daily ride. For me, I'm standing at 1.75m tall.

 

For me personally, i thinking is riding posture which cause the back aches. Due to our heavy traffic, we tends to lend more forward rather than relaxing our back on the backrest.

I don't experience the back ache u mentioned, but i always remind myself to sit straight and rest my back against the back rest... sort of like sitting on a harley style... with legs straighten out. Im standing at 1.83, so perhaps shouldn't be about height.

Yup...i have back aches...could be my spinal...me too mostly seat to front...

How long did it takes u to ride to Kuantan? I did on my phamtom 200cc to Malacca and it took me 3hrs my fz1s 1and half only..
