Seeking advise.

For coolant tank, does one top up with water or pure coolant.

For my car, I usually top up with water, although it happens rarely.

At certain mileage, I will have the radiator system serviced with a full flushing.

Appreciate everyone's advise.

It's not a function of the bike, it's physics. You can try to "counter-steer" (http://www.motorvike.com/MotoChat_Counter_Steering.htm) or you can google more about it. Most if not all riders employ this technique except we might not even know it. It gets intuitive after riding for somethings. Just don't kup corners too much, most bikes will scrape the footrest if we corner too much, but for us it's the mainstand if you are lucky or the fairing if the graduation does not work in your favour

Ahh ok.. yea.. realize that on the 2nd day too haha.. its physics.. Lol..

 

Btw have a very noob question for you guys... Do you overflow when u are pumping petrol? Its my 2nd time pumping petrol, and it still overflow abit.. haha.. Any tips on how not to overflow? Now the side (leg rest) is abit oily. Thanks guys.

I'm Derrick, just bought my GTS for less 3 weeks and I found this bike is really really very smooth and relaxing with many storage spaces !

I'm kinda newbie to this bike and I got a lot a lot of questions about this bike ...

 

1. Where do you guys usually do servicing and whats the pricing range ?

2. When do I change my EO,plug,gear oil,belt etc etc ... like at 1,000km I need to change EO and plug etc etc

3. How do I pump full tank without spilling petrol out ?

4. Where can I get alien head fairing and those after market accessories ?

5. Where can I do pillion back rest on my top box ?

6. What's the normal fuel consumption like ? I'm getting like 28km-30km per litre

1st question: You can do at jb(cheapest of all) or scooter narcotic(Mark@Owner of the shop is kindful of your any enquiry of the bike servicing or at Taihin...(Prices is ok)

2nd: engine oil and gear oil will indicate when time to change..Taihin charge $30 for both..engine oil $25 &gear oil $5

Belting is 16000 or 18000km(correct me if im wrong)

Plug is 20k(correct me if im wrong)

3rd: Spilling cant be escape bro.. just pump slowly

4th and 5th: You can get Taihin or Scooter Narcotic

6th:If you ride consistance 100km/h, you should be hitting around 350-380km before reserve..

 

Tomorrow Sunday and im going to Padir Gudang before fasting month...

Just ride and dont worry...

Thanks for sharing ! Very much appreciated ! So I've to wait for the indicator light to bright up then I can go for servicing for EO and GO ? And for the plug, really can last till 20k mileage ? I used to ride RS125 and I changed the plug every monthly :(

Haven't ridden at all since my post about installing the bulbs.....!

I've noticed that night that my high beam is super high-kinda like pointed to the sky! Will have to DIY and adjust it soon...maybe next week.

Won't be around on Sat, meet you guys next time.

If you only need the key to start bike and open bike seat, then you can go to any key shop to duplicate it. I did it beside ah boy for SGD$5/pc.

 

If you need the hexagon shape thingy to lock the key hole, then i guess you can refer to what gpan mentioned for post #604 onwards...

 

Yeah, looking forward for our mini gathering next sat for the light bulb change... any body else wanna join us?

Differences im not so sure coz ive change to gpr after 2 weeks of riding my new bike.. Haha.. Its sound is louder than original and more awareness to other road users.. Maybe a bit of pick up.. I'll pm u the price..

Hi Guys i just brought a GST200 last wed so far is one of the best 2B bike. Smooth.. storage space is damn good. hope to get some advise here and able to join any gathering.

 

So far no much problem only thing is abit slow for me, windshield is not high enough, suspension abit stiff and i jus changed to the cheap BMW handgrip it seem like is too thin for throttle...

 

Any advise???

Anything i should do to maintain it? like better oil or protective sticker or wrap and shine spray to maintain the out look?

In term of personal grooming maintainace wise, I did the following:

1) Washing every 2 week

2) Remember to apply protective gel on the Matt black plastics.

I gotten a 2nd hand bike which previous owner didn't take good care of it, therefore it was whitish before I took over. Managed to restore 80% back. This is caused by uv sun light and acidic rain.

Better to keep bike under cover

3) liquid wax

4) Mckenic kitchen wonder( good degreaser that doesn't eat your paint away).cost 5.90 @ self fix, hm fix etc

5) apply clear plastic conditioner for the headlight. Tends to crack. Mine already cracked, so didn't bother.

6) leather wax and cleaner( using Waxco, bought from mustafa $10odd) make your leather seat shiny

 

Well there's about it for my bi weekly cleaning
