Hi guys...i have been using my gts200 for about 2yrs now. Bike is about 4yrs now (bought 2nd hand).

Recently i'm having this problem, when i'm slowing down coming to a stop i feel like the rear wheel is heavy.

Once the bike stop, i tried pushing it and it feels like the rear wheel is lock. But after a few seconds,

i feel like something releasing the rear wheel and hence i can push it.

A bike shop in Tampines told me that it's due to the carburetor pin wearing off and the whole assembly cost more than $100.

Anyone has experienced this before? Btw my bike mileage is about 28,000km now.

I believe it's not carburetor pin, more of the brake piston set, based on the price quote. But I believe the mentioned can be bought from Mah motors if you know how to remove it and replace it.

Just changed engine oil at Unique Motorsports at Autobay. Fast 15min job, was recommended OWS synthetic oil. Man, it's smooth! And feels like there's more power too.

And the jerkiness at low speeds seems to be mostly gone.....

And the workshop is quite neat, clean and has many workers, so pretty efficient too.

Oh, I paid $26 for the oil change.

anyway to increase the Top Speed 120km/h? Currently full throttle i can go abt 113km/h.

I hear ppl say by changing the roller weight will increase top speed but will decrease abit of pick up.

any suggestion? Roughly how much to spend?

Btw changing to after market rollers might shorten the life span of the belt.

but stock should be able to give 120km/h WOT,can try to wash and tune carb.

Mine was same as yours not smooth acceleration and max speed was 110km/h.

After wash carb and replace some jet needles and tune carb at $60.Also might want to check if air filter is clean...

Ride was smooth and easily 120km/h WOT.

You are right~! My air filter super dirty and both tires pressure too low.

Now max speed about 120km/h but need quite long to climb to that speed when full throttle

tire the pressure is important as well, currently tyre pressure front 32,and rear is 36psi,lower rolling resistance thus better FC now at 28km per Liter.

Any guys wanna share what tyre pressure are you using?

sigh... always see this tyre pressure topic, really blood boil.

Always pump according to what ah786786 mentioned, 32 psi and 36, front and back respectively... but after few days (2-4 days), back tyre will lose alot of air. Think 4-5 psi. This should not happen, and it happened to dominick and mouse and of course, me.

Anybody else facing this issue?

regards,

Melvyn
