Has anyone noticed the fuel meter is not accurate at times?

 

Mine showed 3 bars,i ride happily think this tank of petrol quite good FC,after a while suddenly dropped to 1 bar.

 

sometimes left 1 bar,after awhile show suddenly show 2 bars.

 

But for safety always keep track of mileage.

 

 

 

Yeahh i was just about to ask you guys about the fuel gauge. Mine does the exact same thing. Reserve light came on at 360km. Pumped 4 litres, rode till 420 and pumped full, 12.2litres. So technically 16.2 litres gave me 420km. And i realise each bar of the fuel gauge equates to 80km. Am getting 28km/l at the moment.

 

Anyone knows how to rectify this??

The disc may be distorted or wheel bearings are loose. At 4k, bearings not likely.

 

Spin the wheel n see if the disc wavers

 

Just to update.. Sent back to workshop last fri n they claim to hav "service" the brake. But today still hav the same prob. Still under warranty dun care today or tmrw i will go again

Just to share on comparison of petrol mileage from different company

 

Usually i always keep track of FC,and mine is based on 95%city 5%expressway,and petrol usually from Neighbour.

All the grade is 95Ron,all the Calculations is used from minimum 5 full tanks of petrol average.

 

Esso-27.8-28km/L,can feel is smooth,but not really on pick-up of higher speed.

BHP-27+km/L,smooth and better higher speed@120km/h smooth also.

Shell-25-26km/l,slightly smooth and better higher speed@120km/h smooth also.

Caltex-25+km/l,engine noisy and can feel abit rough.Higher speed at 120km/h alot of vibrations(Never Pumped again)

 

Currently sticking with BHP and goanna try Petronas soon as many say it give better FC.

 

Just Installed broquet bought from PMO,will see if it increase FC and better throttle response&torque as claimed.

 

one thing i noticed was,after i installed broquet on close to empty tank and i refilled petrol left it over night.

My first bar of petrol always drops after 79-81km.Now it only dropped after 90km.

 

Anyone using Broquet care to share?Cannot find review from GTS200 riders.

Last Saturday got bad experience with a workshop at kaki bukit street 2.

Started with my bike clutch problem. It's sticks and make the bike move while idling. So i bring to them coz nit enough time for me to DIY.

1. They open and found the nuts that hold the pulley worn.

2. They quoted me 200sgd. They said for whole set.

3. Found information on the vehicle part list that one set is include all the bearing. The pulley consist as 2 parts the pulley drive and face. The broken one is the drive.

3. I asked them how much is the labour, the guy said 30sgd.

4. Feel they quote is too expensive, so I buy the drive whole set for 70sgd only.

5. After buying they install it, without any comments.

6. Come to invoice they charge me additional 30sgd. They said have to install the drive pulley to the face. Because I'm not buying the whole set that they mean the whole set drive and face pulley

 

So this workshop never consult me on the additional charges. And try to replace 2 parts instead only 1 is broken.

 

Will never go to that T Workshop again. Chop carrot. Those who went there just be cautious. They labour is become Un reasonable.

Check your spark plug bro if it's wet you have bad cyl gasket. Gaskets should be quite cheap arnd 30sgd for that's related to cyl head. But when ur cyl open some wshop try to pursue u to change some parts like exhaust valve etc. Just be careful

Thats y,everywhere is like that.I have been chopped before due to me begin lack of knowledge on the Gts200,once mechanic knows its a newbie he takes samurai word and prepares for chopping.... -_-

Like mudai said,

mine $60 part only was needed to changed,after chopped like hell bill came to $600,this spoil that spoil,problems i did not notice also became "spoil due to wear and tear" 0_0

for this bike , been riding it for 3 mths , did some changes like spark plug and open pod filther FC about 60km / litres , great pick up but top speed wise fastest i go is 125km per hour but in singapore how fast can u go lol , great bike to last u till class 2

You can go to weda Rowell road to buy the parts .. its the parts only. Labour are various .. from 80 to 180 .. include coolant , eo, sparkplug cyl head gasket ( 12251-hlk-010 ) , cyl gasket ( 12191-hlk-000), exhaust gasket.

First the cyl head will be removed and surface check for defects. If the cyl having defect need to change it part number 12100-hla-010

Bro. If you bike can start easily have to check few things. Before starting morning check your spark plugs. If it's wet then something wrong with ur gasket. If dry. And the bike very hard to idle. If might be your rpm / jet needle. Basic cleaning around 20 - 30 dollar . I went to future scootering. The jet needle kit is arnd 70 dollar. Flooding sign you will have fuel smell .

Take a look at how much new 1 cost n how much others selling. If u think urs worth more, then set it higher. If u done up a lot of things, if someone likes it, u might get a good price

Hi All, i need help badly, i got into an accident and Mah quoted me for my headlight unit whereby only the plastic got scratch, ANYONE know where to get the clear plastic only?? and the body im thinking using sticker to cover or spray new colour? Any know how much will that be? plz help with with the 2 thing.
