I be getting it on Wednesday.. Any recommendation or advise on new rider like me? Should I buy a UV protection cover to cover my bike? I worry that the summon anuty cannot see my season parking. I also intend to buy a oil protyection to protech the bike body. Beside those, what others thing I need to look out for? Thanks for the above replied. really appreciated

If you have a season parking, they won't issue you a ticket, with or without the RIFD tag.

 

Get a can of Maxima Clear Coat spray for the matt body works.

The shiny part... any polishing wax will do.

 

Anyway, when collecting bike, ask for free bike cover, raincoat, helmet and top box, etc.

They won't give all but maybe some. No harm asking.

Cruise as in like up north, north south highway or sg expressway?

 

Most can cruise comfortably around 100km/h.

 

Now the question is which is more important to you, high speed capability? comfort? road presence?fuel consumption? stability? heavy? light? storage? reliability.

1) where can i purchase the "alien head" front cover? was informed by a "reknown" bike shop along serangoon road that it's an aftermarket product.

2) recommended fuel injector or stabilizer for accelerator enhancement.

hi Max, first and foremost Happy Chinese New Year to you, GF and beloved families too. Indeed, i agree with you that GTS200 rider population has gradually increased "base" on sights well statistics will be good lol. I'm jubilant to see your thread for GTS200 Group, hoping that some bro's could contribute ideas and valuable input. After all like any threads, these threads are specificially for GTS200 hence we all speak of the same language to mod, troubleshoots etc as aforementioned by you. Therefore, i do encourage all GTS200 riders regardless of age and gender to come forward and built a GTS200 community (ouch speech aka parliamentary house man). I'm hunting for the "alien head" and stabilizer or fuel injector but to no avail undoubtedly due to my limited networks thus any suggestion from our pioneer bro's who're powdery on GTS200 mods are much welcome. Btw Max, i saw @ u-tube :

 

1) that GTS needs transmission oil, what's the difference between engine and transmission oil? "beginner to this bike"

2) any practical orientation by any bro's how to de-restrict the GTS200 speed limit

Hey bro you're the "mighty max" hence lift up to your nick man lol ok jokes aside, agreed it use a 4T engine oil nevertheless i read on a thread about engine oil and majority are using the "purple oil" a nick given in lieu of its unique purple color. Currently am using Petronas fully synthetic $25+$3 for coating oil (bought it @ dr.koon). It'll be fine w/me Max, we'll meet one fine day and "brainstorm". Btw what happen to your bike Max, servicing etc?

Mostly i will go to my trusted bikeshop... make sure check outlook for any damaged(could b accident bike)..

Gd thing of GTS 200 is that it has a kick start..

if im not mistaken..gts200 can go 120-130kmp same as phantom...

i use to ride phantom to Malacca and it took me 3hrs goin there...ha..ha...

Theoritically i realize that majority of GTS200 owners have had experience with phantom. I was a phantom rider myself before switching to GTS200 due to continous technical problems and unavailabilty of genuine parts. Meet and chat w/phantom pioneer's i.e silent hunter etc .... riding to malacca on phantom? You're brave Max. Well i've no hesitation to travel abroad provided on a convoy lol ...... personally i find comfort and the speed needed in GTS typically for spore roads and landscape hence anything beyond is just "wants". Seems like we're the only in this thread, hoping for others to join in and spells out my queries lol ..... Max, currently are you using original exhaust or 3rd party i.e GPR,TK etc?

currently the bike is totally stock.. this is a new toy as my project rebuild nsr250 is done rebuilding it..

as for my fazer. ..i think i will sell it next year to trade for sportbike 1000cc..so no accessories since i wanna sell it..

currently buying gts 200 is my next project..put some accessories and make it bling2..ha..ha

i love this type of scooter as the under seat is huge..as i mostly go buy households items in JB Giant...

i cant wait to ride it bro..bikeshop told me after CNY then the bike is ready...i cross finger lah..

so my GTS will be road and off road scooter...ha..ha
