I decided to let go of my Ducati 1098s as I have realised my dream with this bike.

The 1098 is still my all time dream bike which explains my reluctance in letting her go.

 

I never ride in the rain and always shelter park + canvas. I seldom ride it as I have a transport scooter for daily commute.

 

Full grooming recently done w Riding69 professional groomers on 17 March 2013

 

I got this bike 2nd hand and grabbed it as it was a really good deal, low mileage, good condition, reasonable price.

Now I am offering the same back to the market as I am excited to let someone else to realise his/her dream too!

My apologies to those selling their 1098, I'm not trying to spoil market, it's just that I got mine for a good deal and when I touch my heart, I think I should return the favor back to society ^_^

FYI, this is an "S" model, worth about $7k more than base model.

Additional info:

Bike was groomed with the best grooming specialists in the country - Riding69 and maintain on my own with alot of patience and effort. I wash and wax at LEAST once in 2 months.

 

FAQs

What is the FC?

FC is about 14-15km/litre dependant on riding habits.

 

I heard Ducatis are more expensive to maintain?

Not true, all Ducatis after 2007 are a breeze to maintain. Service intervals are every 12000km.

Only 2X Spark plugs, 3.5 bottles of engine oil.

 

 

Confirm no problem starting after two weeks!(I tried after 25 days also normal voltage). Cos IU rewired to ignition, the slim IU sucks alot of battery, do that for you bike too, it's hella a difference.

 

Parts are hard to find and very expensive?

Spare parts are readily available at Minerva. Again, all parts are expensive if you don't know how to hunt for them. I have a good compilation of trusted websites.

 

Insurance quotation?

I am 29yrs old w/ 6 yrs riding exp, NTUC TFT w/ 20% NCD is $683. Cheaper than my previous Z1000 which was $1k+. It may be cheaper because statiscally, Ducatis seldom get into accidents. (maybe due to those excellent brembo monobloc brakes)

 

Under Hire purchase?

No, bike is fully paid. If need a loan, it's 5% p.a. I can arrange for you with a bike shop.

A simple draft of $10k downpayment and loan of $20k for 5 years is $416/month.

$20k downpayment and loan $10k for 5 years is $209/month.

wax/sealant from R69 will last around 3-6 months under proper care. Those who want a demo can tell me, I spray some water on the paint and you can see how to water will disperse. Good stuff~ Upss

Well, if you're talking about the 1198 base model than this still has better equipment overall, but the 1198s has DTC and other electronic rider aids, and costs much more too.
