laptop memory

wanna noe how to check if my laptop can support ddr 2 so-dimm.

Came across this

 

"If the notch is located further outboard, it indicates the DDR class of memory. When the notch is located towards the center of the board, it indicates DDR2. These two types of memory are not interchangeable and thus have slightly different notch locations that prevent cross installation."

Above is the Picture of PC2700 200-pin SO-DIMM. Indicating DDR RAM because of the notch is not in the centre but more to the left side..

its indicated in the owner's manual, if not, u can search for ur laptop model in the manufacturer's website, it'll have info on tht

ok.mine is DDR class.however i dunnoe my board can support up to how many gb of ram n up to which speed.

i cant find my manuel.must haf misplaced it.

i cant find my model.as in exactly e same as my laptop.although same series but diff specs.

btw mine is Acer TravelMate 290. bought in 2004 frm sch.
