there's no such thing as 2 mths. it'll be till the insurance expire. if add in together when he renew ins, will be free, else, will be $25.

Then u should ask clearly wat are e charges for. For my case i've change subrider for 3 times within half a yr, its at e same charges at $30+. Last change was $170+ due to e sub rider who jux got his licence when they started to have e system of ($150).Or else its still e same as $30plus. Payment for upfront 3mths is mostly change of ownership cases. All depends on e bike shops. So u gotta ask for explaination..And wat u're paying for..

It will also depend on how long you've been ridin..If you still P-plate then get ready another 150..If you're way younger then they will follow the younger age..

09/07/2009 - Passed 2B TP (10th attempt)

I have tried to see things from your point of view..But no matter how hard I try..Or what I do..I just can't get my head that far up my butt..

i think no need to pay additional 150 bucks.

i renewed my insurance for 3 month to tally with my road tax, and they did not charge the 150 bucks.

i think it is better for u to go down to hong leong building to ask them.

hmmm... for ur case, i suggest u call up all the insurance company and ask them for quotations, c which one offer you the best price.

I just bought a new insurance from Allianz for my super4, initailly they quote me for $303.60. But when i when there, the person asked me how much she quoted me, i told her the above amt, she pressed her calculator, and asked me again am i sure??? i happen to over looked at her calculator figures n reply, ya comfirm, y? issit cheaper??? she said yes, so i got my insurance for $289. my age 24 wif more than 3yrs riding experience.

Companys offering motor insurance are, ntuc (best customer service), AIG(worst customer service), AXA, mitsui (most expensive), Allianz and UOB( only provide cover for 250cc n below).

mitsui most ex?

does that apply onli fer the big bikes?

coz i riding 150cc was told by the bike shop mitsui is the cheapest while ntuc dun offer 3rd party or something so more ex........

Posted

it all depends on your age, your license date, the age of your bike, and the make/model of your bike. different insurers have different rating factors. what's cheap for you may be most expensive for me. try insuring an aprilia with income and see how cheap that would be.

my experience wif mitsui....

i got my insurance from mitsui for my vespa, 150cc, the 1st yr they quote me $330. thought of my age, think that is reasonable. the 2nd i renew from them, they give me 10% rebate, and i paid ard $300.

so when i decided to take up mitsui again for my 2A bike, 1st i go thru bike shop, they quote me $650!!!!!

i call up mitsui myself, they quote me $520!!! still very ex!!!! This shows that if you go thru' bike shop, they will earn abit from the insurance company too.

my suggestion is don't limited yourself to just one quotation, who knows you might get a much cheaper insurance.

above quotations r base on 3rd party coverage only. most insurance company do provide 3rd party coverage. don't worry just ask. its free, no extra charges.

guys.. i got a question.

recently, i went to bike shop and ask how much will my insurance be if no rebate.

she press calculator and tell me $738(including p plate rider, $150 ).

is it possible to not pay the $150 cos im juz renewing, not buying a new insurance.

and my p plate ends this october while my insurance expires in may.

5 months.. bo hua leh
