Any owners here care to share your experience on this bike? Am thinking of getting the Orange unit. Saw 01 on the road with a black exhaust system, damm cool la. Any idea what brand? Thanks a lot!

Orange is HD racing colour and is always nice on a Sportster.

Black exhaust can be done by high temp paint or metal coating. Customsing and finding the cool factors is individual.

Exhaust brands commonly used in SG are Screaming Eagle, Vance & Hines, Python, 49States and such ... They are some brands already come in black.

HD is unlike Jap made. IMO, Sportster 883R don't come alive in just changing air filter and exhaust. If one is just looking for the noise thats fine.

I would love to but with two reasons I say no ... First I don't know you and second this wasn't the original question in this thread.

Check out this website.It gives reviews,specs and prices on all things motorcycle.american website,of course.I lurve reading the reviews given by these angmos.very opiniated,dem americans.They give ratings of 1 to 5 stars for the bike they review.U can scroll and click on the make of the bike,from A to Z, u wanna read up.then choose the models available and year of manufacture too.

I like how they compare and also criticise brands of their own make with Jap bikes.

Thought I saw one at the dealership yesterday, came with the cafe "fairing", looks quite cool.

 

Yep, the only mod is the exhaust. Rest stock. But putting black exhaust make the bike looks a bit too dull, nothing to balance the upper bright orange.

I've always wondered what's the best height for sportsters, eg I'm 6feet tall, wld a sportster be too small for me?

u can always have forward controls and apehangers on it to make it suit ur ht...

Personally, I feel that the Sportster should not be ridden like the other Harleys. It is based on the Flat Track racer not a crusier. I will go for a more upright position instead. Forward controls are ok but high hangers wil be a no no for me.

are there any colours besides orange at the dealership?
