I always panic when reserve meter is running.

 

 

when the reserve meter starts blinking it means you have about 60km lead time before you really panic..:angel:

till now i dont even know what my bike FC is like, i just ride and pump and go and enjoy the ride rather than let these bother me.

 

mi too....dun really go cal the FC ever since my riding years for 8 yrs. Just ride & top up fuel when reserve.

Perhaps you can consider letting your mechanic to check if there's anything wrong.

OK.... ask you one more thing.

 

Along with the ZNNNNGGGGGGGG sound.... do you also realize that your speedometer is no longer working? Your signal lights are always on? You got no headlights? And maybe your fuel gauge also shows SUPER full... meaning go up past the F mark?

 

 

If yes, then....

My 02 FZ6 tio this twice. Battery problem.

 

Errr.. no such occurences leh... all works fine..speedo, fuel meter, signals all ok.

 

Just sound alone...

Since we have chosen to ride class 2 bikes, we should be prepare to pay extra for fuel, what different does it makes if say your bike is doing 18km/l and mine is doing 18.2km/l or 17.5km/l?

 

Many factors affect the results, hot day, wet day, humid day, wack the throttle day, TP around the corner day and the list goes on...just enjoy your ride...:thumb:

Yes , theres a difference , when going long trips , i need to stop earlier than u guys to refill . :dozed:

dont think this has anything to do with FC, is just that the gen 1 has a bigger tank than gen 2. anyway FC for gen 2 is suppose to be better than gen 1, EFI mah...:thumb:

not too sure if my experience on the fz1 gen 1 can apply to the fz 6 thundercat, i used to get this buzz and thought initially it was from the instrument panel. It took me months of trying to find the source of the buzz before i found it.

 

It was from the 2 side cowl covers ( the black cover on each side of the half fairing where it helps to cover up the wiring and radiator cap). I put a padded tape over the edge of the covers and the sound has never revisited me.

Dun think so. This buzz is actually coming from the instruments. U just turn on the bike, no need to start the engine, and you hear this whining or buzzing sound coming from behind the meters. :angel:

 

Moka heard it b4. Straightaway call it as some kinda electrical fault. :p
