I didn't get any sideboxes. From my understanding, original panniers are thru HL. I don't think it does matters where u get ur bikes from, cause i think HL will charge the same amount for the original panniers. However u should note that the price is costy, if i haven't remember wrongly it would damage ur pocket by at least 2k to get a pair of those. So you better have enough vitamin M b4 you consider those. You wanna see my bike, we can always meet up during one of these days, it's better to see the real thing right? (Actual fact is i couldn't get my hands on those pictures yet; pissed)

Meanwhile cheers mate. Ride safe ya.

A MO for FZ1?? Truly a first....

But who is sincerely keen??.... if there is a fair sincere interest, i could take it to the shops and ask around.

Even if the prices cant be adjusted, i am sure they will be more than happy to throw in extras.

Maybe we can start a list of ppl who are sincerely keen. I can find out more and keep everyone posted via sms/email.

Anyways is there any kind soul who is willing to share their experience the cost of maintenance 4 e FZ1S. EO etc. Trying 2 plan the budget in advance. Appreciate ur help. Thanx.

think it should be cheaper now, 17.8 without insurance is the price i bought 2 yrs back with ASP, think last yr only cost around 17k without insurance

That's the problem with bike shops. They always want to 'chop' you when they know you don't know the price. Wad i feel is 18.5k for OTR (including insurance), no matter wad ur age might be. I got mine for 18k flat when i was 22yrs old where the insurance is part of the package.

Yeah i was VP of Temasek Club at UTS. So we went to Uni pretty much the same time.

As my weekdays are pretty much burnt with work, i can only shop during the weekends.

I know a lot of shops quote differently with different packages. And with our different age/ NCD...etc etc.... the eventual price will be different. So i will "shop" based on bike price. Can u confirm what Bike Production's bike price is?

Someone mentioned "asphoon".... i wonder how that works out.

Oh, SSA is now known as Temasek club?

I was active in the club only during '99-'01.

The activities organised by the Jap and Koreans were just too time consuming

Same same. Wk eats up wkdays. Wkends, only left with Sat to look at bikes.

If we can get people sincere in getting one, why dont we arrange to meet at a place and make a bargain in person. A hundred or 2 saved is still money after all.

BTW, Im specifically after an '07 model, so I reckon the price is slightly lower.

You seem to have done more homework than me.... what's the difference in 07 and other models? I dun even know what different models are out there? Its just a face lift aint it?

Price not much different i hope.

The main differences to me are cosmetic.

'07 have gold forks, black engine while the '08 have grey engine and black forks.

Apparently, a grey colour is available for '08 and it replaces the teal tech and ocean depth blue of the '07.

Also claimed, are some changes in the mapping.

If there is anything I have left out, someone pls enlighten.

Supposingly the greatest change should be the gold rim, but i think SG dun bring in the gold rim ones. Sad case.

The only other way is to get the '08.

Then spray rims gold.

forks gold.

engine black.

Its pointless doing that to a new bike.

And I dont know anywhere that can do a decent job.
