The "feel" comprises of two parts....

1) Feel in the heart.... and 2) the feel in your pocket....

If you are feeling empty/light in the pocket.... the heart will feel heavy

If you feel light in the heart.... and heavy/full on the pockets...... wah... then a lot of people will want to shake your hand!! You'll probably has done well for yourself.:thumb: :thumb:

It will be great if they allow test rides, it will be alot easier to made a choice.

And not just rely on reviews, spec sheets and outlook.

For the firstime, I saw a black tiger at Haji lane last night and she looks better than in photos.

Very tempting.....

You are right....its all about the feel.

Thanks DeusExMachina...Its good to know that I'm not the only one with the problems. Is it possible to DIY the clutch? Any special tools required for the job? I'm quite a handyman and like to do it myself...would hate to leave it at HL for a week.

I only suffered from the TPS problem. That one I DIY'ed with a friend.

I didn't get the sticky clutch prob. But from what I heard, as long as you know how to remove the clutch basket and take out the individual clutch plates (equipped with knowledge and tools, lah...) then you should be good to DIY.

Go google ang moh forums overseas. They're pretty DIY. You have to actually remove the individual clutch plates and wash 'em in engine oil and get rid of the excessive grease or any gunk on it. Then put it back and give it a go.

Anyway, here... I refer you to one of the threads. It's for the 04 R1... but the FZ1 has the same engine, so it will be relevant.

http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98059

It's all trial and error I suppose. Same thing when I DIY'ed my TPS. It's a risk, but if it works, then it's all worth it. Otherwise, you could bring it to a trusted mechanic.

It has been rather quiet over the last two days....

Is everyone on their long weekend leave?

Have a good one and ride safely!

Hi DeusExMachina,

Thanks for the info...sticking clutch now solved. This is my solution:

1) Drain the oil

2) Cable tie the clutch lever in to the grip

3) using bottle with nozzle, pump oil into the clutch via the crevices in the clutch housing.

4) Leave bike with clutch lever tie to grip for 4 hours

Presto!!! no more sticking clutch.

If anyone experiencing the same problem need clarification on the procedure, feel free to leave me a pm.

Sorry Guys THE ORIGINAL GOLD is no longer suitable for display

Damm it!

I got it worst. I put the card in but blardy LTa said no card detected in IU, pls pay us $10.25.

How to dispute this? My I.U is 6mths old. Go to LTA with cardcard, sure detect. cause i used it next day with no issues.

I.U. they create and design and force us to buy and use.

Cash card they also implement and we have no choice.

Use it properly, also kenna fine for faulty equipment.

So basically, we pay for iU and cashcard to be fined.......

what am i blabbering about.....should have taken leave today.....

Its has happened to me a couple years back... and i learnt my lesson.

I got the card in but still got a fine. But was told to go to an inspection centre to test the IU... they checked and it was fine... but at that time...the gantry couldn't detect the IU/Cashcard... all because i had a rag stuffed between my windshield and IU.

I cant remember if i was made to pay a fine... i think they just let me off.

But i remember the inspection process.... do they still do this?

IIRC, I did encounter something like years back on my old bike.

I kept insisting that I did place my cashcard in the IU and it's not my problem that the gantry could not detect my IU properly....

They let me off eventually :D
