I just tested the May 07 FZ6N.The current 40 yr old owner seldom ride.Mileage to be exact 6768km only!!!!!!.Outlook very clean......paintwork good.Accessories comes with original mainstand and a GIVI rear box only. Very tempt to buy........fierce outlook and most important...mileage very low.........kind of undecided.....

2day did 1st oil service @ HL, 1st time ride till 8k RPM, was astonished how light the bike actually go, cause i tahan dont exceed 5k RPM for 1st 1000km. my mileage also improving 300km before reserve light now

Well, just bargain with again and managed to decrease to $9.2k. I have make up my mind to get it. Hm......mileage at 67XX km is the big plus point...in my view....

Not going touring often,so no fairing is ok.....Will be getting the FZ6N earliest by next Thursday...already thinking to remove the rear givi rack and box. I am looking for side rack and boxes liao...anyone selling ?

ANy meetup?? I live Punggol...

- e fact dat noboby can change is new production bike & pre-owned but harldy ride bike/re-con bike, there bound 2 hav some difference.

- aniway, e above r base on my personal opinion, hope i din influence ur decision.

- if 4get abt wat i'd said, overall its a very gd buy.

- went around many areas like madman, kopitiam/NTUC/7-11 ..etc, finally found it & smoke like neber smoke b4.

- look carefully, ohh, they jus printed e abbreviation SDPC below e filter.

- e taste is strong, further confirm its fresh stock.

- b4 1st oil & filter change only 260km b4 reserve.

- after change, 290km b4 reserve.

- after dat its 280-290km b4 reserve depends how i wack.

Thx bro......I doubt the uncle will shortchange me(I am a near uncle too)..The bike is clean but sure got some dirt,especially at the exhaust header side...

Can anyone advice,for a naked version,is there anyway i can put a wind shield??

finally got my bike running again. Battery went flat on me the other day. Recharged it and it's ready for use again though it got significantly weaker.

Fixed the voltmeter myself earlier and noticed the voltage is at 11.5. Kinda at the low side.

Just to clarify, the bike is didn't give me any problem before. Its my fault that it went flat. I over turn my keys when i left my bike. Left my bike with parking light on the whole night. My bad

Still loving him as usual.

- it is fixed by means of those bracket with rounded bar.

- think dis bracket is fixed via e bolts of e top clamp dat holds e fork.

- FZ6N shd b e same bah.

- then ur FZ6N wld like like FZ6S liao.

- aniway, FZ6S & FZ6N, e riding posture slightly different. B.cos e handle bar angle is different.

- S is more curved inwards wif a touring feel while N is straight wif a street fighting feel.

- thinking of pasting e blue color 1.

- wher 2 buy? How much?

sidetrack ->

- yesterday afternoon while riding, kana stung by a bee at my rite index finger.

- at 1st tot was some small flying object flung frm e lorry tyre infront.

- but i start 2 get e burning & numb feeling on my rite hand.

- hav a quick look, tot e skin was cut.

- but e pain becums more unbearable, so hav a clearer look again.

- KNN, its e 'needle' frm e bee, black & yellowish color, stil on my index finger.

- immediatly go stop by e side of e expressway, pull out e 'needle'.

- a small lump had started 2 appear.

- s e day goes by, e index finger becum bigger & bigger, redier & redier in color.

- e 'venom' is spreading towards e middle finger & was kinda pain wen throttling.

- used 2 insects bites liao during armydaze s a Infantry soldier, so at nite, rub my

trusted 'Tigerbalm' medicated oil, hoping it wil go off e nex day. Felt e pain & hardening of e index finger tissue while rubbing.

- e nex day, 'Tigerbalm' did not work & e swell had became worse..

- wen see doc at 'Raffles medical'.Was prescribed medicine on anti-biotics, pain-killers, itch relief, fever relief, allergy relief pills, and e cost is nearly $70 dollars!

- WTF! it'd been >1yr neber visit any dotor liao. Had medical fees increased SO MUCH?

yes medical fees has risen, summore u went 2 a private clinic..gahment one should be cheaper....next time wear glove:cheeky:

There's nothing that a couple of cable ties can.t solve

Only tricky part is the connection of the wires. I tapped mine to the bolt light. Your riding S4? Just tap it to your headlights and it should work fine.

- i used 2b riding S4 vtec 1 for 7yrs. Can see frm my forum profile, joined e forum's CB400s grp during earlier days of its formation.

- was deciding between CB400 Revo Boldor & FZ6S wen Revo 1st launched.

- njoys e S4 riding posture & outlook. Power output is sufficient 4 mi but not torqy enough.

- attracted by Fazer's outlook & performance way bak 2 e 1st model. e earlier models' seat 2 high, bike looks bulky, exhaust-can too big.

- finally, few mths back, changed to 08 FZ6S. No regret then.

- btw, i'm a middle-age uncle riding a FZ6S, not a SYT ridng a CB400 Revo.

guys,i just got my fz 6 '08 model yesterday,while i was riding,at around 80km/h on the expressway,i noticed the temperature gauge displays up to 101 degrees easily.i have read in this thread about fz1 reaching this temperature as well,but is it the same for fz6? i know its a hot bike but this hot?

congratz on ure new ride. Yes is hot. Don't worry 101 degrees still ok. If u feel its 2 hot, ride a bit faster, not more than 5k rpm, n avoid jams.Hope it helps

Can the regulars here advise me of alternate dealers offering at a reasonable price? Also what is the market machine price for new FZ1N 08?

Though I havent got my FZ6N,but that day when I tried the 1.5 yrs old bike,the initial temperature was 101....then it cool down to 80-90 at the void deck with me running the bike stationary.......think is normal temperature.....

take your time to shop around first. Bike***duction offers quite a good deal if you can endure their attitude. there're some bikeshops that offer good deals if you can managed to nego well with them

Yeah, your right, I used a multi-meter and tested the voltage across the pole light and battery. Apparantly, pole light requires lesser voltage I guess? It has roughly a steady 11.5v across it and the battery is having a higher rating.

Its pretty normal. Perhaps you can consider getting a tank bra. It definitely helps to reduce the heat your getting. The actual temp doesnt goes down but you wont feel that hot. Yamaha's bike tends to get a little "hot". But your will get used to it

Erm, check your air filter? My FC was 20km/l avg for the past 1 yr, recently it drops slightly to 19-20km/l. Perhaps due to dirty air filter.

It could also be, you didnt pump full to the brim. Thats the reason why you getting lesser Mileage be4 hitting reserve.
