I only bought 1 bottle. It's definitely enough to change a few bikes at least! No mixing required, just use straight from the bottle.

But each bottle is only 1.892L rite ???

I look at the service manual and it said the coolant capacity is 2.25L.

OKOK, but hor after reading the owner's manual still not quite sure how to change the coolant. How to 'flush out' the old coolant before I top up with Maxima Cool-aide?

bro, u need to open certain piping near the radiator & the reservoir...

if u're unsure, better to seek professional help or ask frns who know how...

get your regular bike shop to do the coolant change

this is another option... :thumb:

last i heard, 2.4k for the side boxes, 500 for the rack, 1.8k for lower fairings

this is fricking expensive! :pity:

im going ard 11+ or midnight on thurs. wanna come?

i'm looking at 2moro around 10pm lei...

if i wait till thu, i'm totally dried liao...

yup mine is 1.892L. I didn't notice the coolant capacity is that big, oh no it means I dun have enuff Cool-aide to flush away the stock coolant!

btw, today during the warming-up of my bike right till it reaches about 70deg C, I noticed that the EO level is only slightly above the minimum mark. Is this considered normal? Usually is top-up of EO required in between servicing, e.g. betw 3K and 8K (5K apart).

yes bro... u roughly need 1 bottle + around 1/5 of a second bottle of coolaide...

bro, u mean u measured the EO level using the dip stick after u warm up your bike?

if yes, try measure it during cool temperate... it will be more accurate...

usually EO will be able to last u around 5k of mileage if you had top up to the correct amount...

unless your engine leaks, it shouldn't be getting too much lower due to evaporation...

i think should be that ba...

ic... u looks like a rarely ride rider? i think u got ur fz earlier right bro?

anyway, according to professional ah (anything goes wrong pls find him), he said it's not advisable to change coolant on 1st day when you got your bike out nor within your breaking-in / running-in period...

u can change it after 1000km and it's recommended to do that way too... lol...

I referred to the round EO level indicator just beside the rear brake pedal (is that an accurate gauge?) Oic so by right there shudn't be a need to top up EO in betw svcing

oh the glass panel ah? that not too accurate de...

in order to be more accurate, you cannot put it on side stand...

instead, put it on main stand and see it, it will be more accurate...

the best is still u dun put side or main stand, u get someone to sit on ur bike and u squat down on the right to see...

yes, no need to top up de unless u realized that your engine is leaking EO or whatsoever...

share nia...

in order to flush out the old coolant, you have to open three places...

one is the lower pipe from your radiator to the reservoir on the left of your bike...

two is the radiator cap...

three is the reservoir cap...

then u flush and flush and flush, drain and drain and drain...

then close lower pipe & reservoir cap, then top up coolant into your radiator till full...

once full, ignition on and let your bike runs for 1-2 mins to let the coolant level goes down from the radiator...

then top up again... this is the part where u need the 2nd bottle of coolant...

hope it helps...
