hi there people... I just change my exhaust to LV GP Style yesterday as well as de-cating the pipe.

I've not yet install a PC neither have i done any tuning after installing the exhaust. Only change my air filter to BMC.

The problem here is that, i experience backfires while riding especially at low gear. It sounds like fire works. haha...

Will this effect my bike in any way? Do any of u guys experience the same problem? Pls advice.

bro, you get lots of popping sounds after the change of exhaust and/or including backfires? has ur frns behind your arse noticed the backfire & its color?

to check, do u also have popping sounds while on stock bike?

 

for me, i got AIS block off plates in, i dun get those little popping sounds but at 5K/6K rpm, i will get loud backfire + blue flame out from my exhaust after my mods & tunings...

also, while on stock bike, fz1 2010 model, same as yours, i got popping sounds when i closing throttle from mid-high range onwards...

 

for these poppings/backfires, some say it will affect the bike in a long run, some say not...

for me, i not too sure... leave that to the gurus to explain...

Oh thanks for the info on suspension set up, actually what's ur individual requirement in suspension? I read some article that its important that suspension don't bottom out easily.

 

Wah kind of turn OFF knowing that Laser Quad pipes for FZ6 sound like grass-cutter/lawnmower!

 

my buddies ever commented that my scorpion blue titanium exhaust on my previous fz6 sounds like a grass cutter too... lol!

Dun need to feel sad if your bike is stock. Just be happy and enjoy your ride. Slowly upgrade or change accessories when got extra vitamin M. Cheers!!!

Just be contended with what I have ah!

Went to HL to have my 6K service, they help me removed the broken IU bracket, normal screw can't open. Was given the Seng Kwang namecard to custom a new one.

 

Wanna see how other bro fixed the IU, beside putting in dashboard. May be will go LKS. At the meant time, stick with rubber band and sponge.

 

Pichudot, will see whether can join you there this Sat noon.

if u see his bike dis sat u better bring lots of tissue (wipe ur own drool) and shades (his blueflame pop pop from exhaust) & also earbuds (prevent ur ears from the pop pop)

optimum preload setting, rebound at your preference. suspensions purpose is to not only absorbing feedbacks from the road to cushion your ride, but also to ensure that your tires stick to the tarmac.

 

it is important not to bottom out on your suspension, pro-long bottoming out your shock/fork will cause damage to your suspension in the long run.

my new ride wont make it for saturday collection, OEM accessories just arrived and they are rushing to get it out of the container, looking at tuesday to collect me bike...that gives me more excuses to get more accessories at m technik...
