The bulb in your image here says 35/35W, which is roughly what I would expect. The ones I saw at LimBat last weekend were rated 120/130W... which IMHO seemed waaaaayyyy too high. The whole point of the HIR technology is supposed to be greater light output without increasing power consumption. For 120/130W consumption, any comparison of brightness against a regular 55/65W halogen bulb seems invalid

 

I have just switched my turn signal bulbs to LEDs (from LimBat). They flash much brighter, though the blinking rate has gone up a bit too much for my tastes. Should be a bit lower on the power - I calculated that each LED bulb consumes approx 10W, as opposed to the 21W consumed by stock bulbs.

 

Now looking for clear lenses to replace the stock orange colour (since the LEDs already flash amber) and then perhaps an LED tail light unit from Clear Alternatives. It would help if I had someone giving me ang pao

to fix up the side racks in perfect/precise condition, you need around half a day... where am i going to dig out half a day for this?

i can't give u a date for this right now man... i would strongly suggest u try to work it out yourself with friends and i just pop by if needed or perhaps you would like to bring it to your fav bikeshop for it?

but still, i would say, to fix up it urself, u will have a strong satisfaction in the end... very paiseh...

Sounds like a battery problem to me but sure some riders can advise you further.. as for the tyre,sprockets etc. , it all depends on the kind of riding you do IMO:)

Did you try to push start your bike? It has happened 2 months ago where i was away to Australia for 2 weeks, came back bike cannot start exactly like as you have discribed. However after serveral attemps to push start the bike, it eventually roared to life, am still using the same battery, thus get someone to assist you to push while you engage it at second gear.

 

No need to spend up to $1k. Change only when necessary. Why do you want to change all at the same time!!

- i din try push start.

- if can start, i gota ride to shop to get it fix but i was going to work then & it was olso raining non-stop.

- if canot start, i gota call tow-truck 2 tow 2 workshop. As there's no more bike parking lots once i push e bike dn e mscp ramp.

- push-start anot, still gota wait til nex wk, Monday onwards, cos most workshops r closed during CNY period.

- since i'm servicing many wear & tear items, might as well do it once & for all rather than bit by bit. Wk after wk go bak workshop kinda time consuming. Also since changing tyres require taking out of e wheels, might as well change e bearing, brake pads, sprockets etc.

- $$$ in $$$ out, stil hav 2 spend no matter bit by bit or 1 lump sum.

- yah, jus got my bonus. But $$$ no enough.

- m stil thinking which workshop 2 go. 'open work auspicious, big big earn earn'

bro, for tyres, i would recommend personally either the pilot power or angel st. both i had tried n i'm currently using the angel st. quite good performance....

- though i dun go track but i kinda no confident in touring tyres.

- m considering e Michelin Pilot Power 2CT (sport tyre). But not a single frnd of mine who is still riding had used them.

- m considering e Pirelli Angel ST (improve version of Pirelli Strada, touring tyre). But my rider frnd feedback say, dry is very good but wet had slipped a few times

- m considering e Metzeler M5 (improve version of M3, sport tyre). But my rider frnd feedback say, both M1 & M3 r good but 'out-of-shape / bumpy' once e tyres reach dat 'limit'.

- my favourite tyres so far its e 1st batch of Pirelli Diablo (sport tyre). Its olso well-luv by many, local or worldwide. Dry & wet & shape r good.

- its taking over by Pirelli Diablo Rosso now & eventually Rosso 2 which is a Street tyre.

actually can don't need to replace the batt... all you need is to do a full charge... it could be by two means, external power source charging or by riding constantly above 4k/5k rpm for 1 or 2 hours... of cus, had to push start the bike first in order to perform the latter...

but along with the racks, there's diagrams on how to install right? never think of trying to install it urself? i can't do everything for u but i can provide u with some guidance on areas that you're unsure...

for signal lights, if u don't wish to cut & extend the length, you can unplug the whole rear and do some mini wire re-routing...

if u wan, perhaps we can look at 26th feb... most likely i'm able to take out 1 or 2 hours for that...

hmmm... i'm not sure can or not but in my opinion, i wouldn't suggest that cus the current is much different...

dun worry, once u r able to ride along the way, the engine will not stall as long it's keep on running...
