Hi Mods, sorry for X posting, but i nid urgent help! :sorry:

 

Mi new RXZ is spewing out a lot of white smoke and i oli riding it for 2 days onli. The 2T looks enuff as i can see from the indicator. Pls help as i dun wan to get saman in mi 1st wk of riding!:help:

Hi kucari, thx for ur reply. But this is a new first hand bike tat i bought 3 days ago. is it true only old bikes have tis problem? then i tink i got con. :mad:

wat type of 2t did u use??go back to ur shop ans ask them?

maybe ur 2t intake is set to big??try go to any shop other than ur bnike shop

 

yes u can use any type..but cheap 2t gives u alot ofwhite smoke

hmm.. u mentioned that ur bike is first hand?? ur the first owner??

 

u need to running in the bike first rite?

 

the for a 2 stroke bike spewing out white smoke is fine. but 4 a 4 stroke bike to spew out smoke that a prob!!

 

the white smoke coming out from ur bike is caused by 2t. its prob caused by ur 2t setting is slightly higher. btw IMO, since ur running in ur bike, the piston needs more lubrication. so just leave the 2t setting as it is until u haf finished ur running in.

 

after running in den u can reduce the 2t setting. u will haf less white smoke coming out from ur bike after that.

reali thx to ur reply. but there is realli a lot of white smoke and i have about 900km be4 it realli runs in. (e distance i travel not even 100km)

 

i realli dun wan to be fined by TP like siao until mi bike runs in. :cry: Can i add 2T after onli 3 days? does it make sense to do tis or ani bros have other methods?

That is because the 2t setting is set high. I suggest you only lower it a bit, lowering too much will end up with u not having enough 2t to lubricate ur pistons.

 

Also when u start ur bike in the morning, just let it warm up for 5 mins. Usually by then when u move on, there won't be too much smoke.

 

Try to clear carbon every morning too, when riding, drag up to 7rpm in gear 2 for a minute or two. Alot of smoke will come out, but the ride will be very smooth and there won't be much smoke for ur journey :thumb:

As suggested by some of the guys here too that you should try switching to a better grade 2T or lower smoke 2T.

errr... thats abit extreme man. well, ThePole, wat i can suggest is that u lower the 2T setting just abit. cos u said every 3 days u top up 2t, thats too much man. just askur mech to tune it slightly lower. btw, i recommend u Esso Gold 2t.

I wouldn't recommend Esso Gold 2T though..If you're willin to spend bit more..Try those aftermarket 2Ts..Castrol..Motul and etc. But its your bike..do what you deem fit for it..

Hi everyone.. i'm new here. JUst call me mirf. Been riding for 2 months oredi.. Joined this website to learn and gain experience from the more experienced rider.

 

Speaking abt all this 2t stuffs.. well.. my tzm 2t valve was set to quite high ar.. and black oil can be seen dripping out from my exhaust pipe.. and like u, my 2t finished up quite fast. But now after i go johor burnt my pipe and asked the mechanic to lower the 2t intake, my bike doesnt emit so much white smoke anymore and the 2t can last much longer. And one more thing the mechanic said. My tzm dont have the 2t filter. Does Rxz have this filter too? But urs is a first hand rite? So shud be no problem with dat.. But.... What i'm worried abt is.. whether my piston will be affected by the low 2t intake. How to noe ar?

1L of 2T can last you about 1800-2000km depending on how you ride.. anything less than that means ur intake is set way to high.. another way is to see ur endcan.. if its si bei oily at the opening means too much 2T added already.. if black oil(carbon + 2T) coming out means all the money u spent on 2T's flying out of ur pipe literally.. but if ur still running in i suggest u set it higher than usual so as to better lubricate the pistons... and dun get stuck in jams where u mite overheat the piston or u'd be in for a big surprise..
