A beat up 6309 with lots of character.

Dial is aftermarket one.

I have another 6309-7040 for sale if you are interested?

Brave? I dont quite understand.

THanks for the offer. I think, I won't be getting it. just enjoyed looking at your vintage 1974 Seiko 6105-8110 divers. I've enough similar looking watches. Might want something black and simple next.

Anyway about brave - the PC800 was priced top of the line at it's time. The design was also ultra radical for it's day - think back to late 80s/early 90s - man! Tupperware wrapped bikes were practically zilch! So your buying new was brave to me! Of course, it's a bike of unmatchable practicality that nothing had and nothing has yet to equal. All the reviews we read now are dated. The reference to plastics won't mean much today and will not draw such a contrast now, since many bikes learnt from the PC experiment and many are tupperware covered.

In fact, the design seems to have stood the test of time cause even more now, so many people like the bike at first glance - bike or non-biker alike. They take photographs with it. Are totally surprised when they hear that the bike's design is 23 years old, first produced in 1989.

It must have been quite a feeling when you rode it out of the showroom!

Salute salute! :-)

Why rush? It's the journey, not the destination ... :shades:

Yes, it was THE designer bike in those days.

I was deciding between the PC800 and the ST1100.

but the convenience of the PC800 triumphed the ST1100 and i didnt need the power nor full touring capabilities.

The PC800 remains the bike i own for the longest time.

Totally reliable, 100% cool.

You are right mate, i felt really proud and happy riding it out of Mah motors on the day of collection. a fabulous bike!

sometimes, it gets me wondering if it's better to buy a $35k bike or wear a $35k watch....

Saw my friend with this getat watch with customized strap, very stylish looking!

Anybody knows where I can get a similar watch? :)

Can get online.

Or from HK.

Very cheap usually using asian auto or manual wing movement which is very hardy.

They basically take after Panerai designs.

Many different models.

Less than $200

depends on what watch they are looking for. there are 2 shops at far east plaza 1st floor selling pre owned watches, ranging from some vintage seiko, omega, rolex, AP etc.
