[Group] YAMAHA RD 350 LC TONG - The Legend

If anyone is interested, I am seriously considering selling my 31K YPVS

I have just done a full rebuild on it, down to refurbished and powder coated frame, F2 exhausts, full engine rebuild including brand new crank, rebore and pistons, all new ypvs components (valves, bushes and seals) all new engine bearings and seals, new clutch friction and steel plates, chain and sprockets, brand new wiring harness. Every nut and bolt replaced with brand new stainless steel.

All it needs it to finish running in (20 kilometres since put back together and tested.) and do the paint job of your choice.

Message me if you are genuinely interested.

bumpz for Dave ... one and only chance to buy a bike rebuilt by a 'Angmo' engineer. 10 times better yr typical 'extra bolts' ah beng mechanic. Dave, how is my formally 4LO doing =D

FZ150 > Engine seized / no engine oil

LC125 > Bike scrapped due to ownership issue

LC125 > Bought bike back into room and did a bottom end overhaul

RD350 LC > Bought bike into room for 2 years for re build

DT200R > Bike went reverse due to retarded ignition timing

RXZ135 > survived and sold the bike

Hornet 250F > Stuck at TPE and pushed 1.8 KM cuz ran out of fuel

Thanks Thomie,

The 4LO got finished finally and my mate is riding it around, and loving it! It goes well, and got resprayed red because red ones go faster! I saw him yesterday and he had a huge backpack full of diving equipment on that he rode down with, he told me strangely it makes the front end of the bike go very light, but I think that was more then handful of throttle that he gave it!

He was jealous because even running in the 31K is going to be faster!

Cheers

Dave

Friends,

After about a year of sheer hard work and determination, I am happy that my Yamaha RZR is complete, much to the my/my family/friends delight.:)

I had to procure lot of parts for which, I scouted across the UK, the USA and Germany.

Hope you will realise the enormity of the task I had undertaken to build a bike like this, which was never sold in India. From getting a Parts Manual to extensive reading in the net to consulting many across, from confusions to anger to confabulation etc etc., I went through all these only to own a YPVS.

I thank all of the my vendors and my tuner M/s MotoKraft.

The specs are -

Japanese model RZR 29L/51L 250CC twin

Jointed 26mm Mikuni Carbs with 25 Pilot and 155 Mains

Wiseco Con Rod Kit

RIK Piston Rings

Clocks from Yamaha FZR 5 valve "Genesis"...as my clocks were beyond repair and could not get another one.

All Lights are original...no pattern parts.

Changed from round Koito Head Light unit to Head Light from Honda VF750F.

Head Light unit mounted with Honda VF's sub frame cradle.

Honda VF's top half fairing cut to size and loaded with hand cut poly-carbonate wind shield.

Shoe horned Yamaha R6 2006/7 mono shocks.

EBC Gold racing parts in the rear and EBC non racing pads in front.

etc...etc...etc.

Suffice to say that the bike is completely original.

The only sad feeling I have is to have joined this forum late. I may have cut short my restoration time by about 30% had I been here earlier.

I will be glad to know of your opinion.

Hi there good people of this forum.

I just got my LC quite recently and still learning to adapt to the bike. Any meet ups so I can meet the good pple here. Also learn tips and tricks to maintain this beautiful yamaha stallion? =)

Combining Yamaha's bulletproof reliability and the exciting sound, smell and performance of a two-stroke engine, the RX-135 is truly a legend in its own right.
