I dont think so.

I set cost about $180 -200 depend on location.

It only look nicer and have a brand on it.

And cost 25-30% more.

Last longer....I reckon that and if so how much longer? 30% more?

today went to motorworld to check on AFAM and DID xring, but was quote 280. in the end went to planet, spockets and did xring for 200 damage to my pocket.

really no $$ go ah boy buy, $120-$140. original honda sprocket + o ring chain. Can try lah, but got $$ buy better one, its advisable.

not really when compared to AFAM ones. but the AFAM spockets are really way off my budget, have to change on that day as my chain really cannot make it already. after changing ... wooo ... real smooth ...

Hi,

I'm supposed to change my chain n sproket. What is a recommended set to change to? I've seen in the component list that there are honda original sproket from japan, italy, thailand n god knows where. AFAM sprokets too. What's the difference between them other than the price? How does it affect the performance of the bike? I mainly use my bike for local communting only....

I think the only diff is price,looks and brand. Other than that I dont see any benefit to it.

Change spockets and chain at 20000-30000km depend on how u care for them.

For pick up is 45, for top end is 42 But front still remain as 15

usually people will advise change 1 set. cos if 1 set older than the other, will have uneven wear/tear. and result in failure/accelerated wear+tear of both the old+new parts. so may as well change both.

 

but then again... it also depends on how new is new and how old is old :cheeky: if ur spocket is in really good condition like brand new. why not?

japan and thailand parts are both honda original with identical parts number. but japan parts are more ex and quality/workmanship :thumb:

 

an easier way to view the italy parts is like... "made in italy for honda" and not "made by honda in italy". got it? :cheeky:

likewise, sometimes lab original honda stuff is like... "original honda stuff by lab"

hmm which is betteer ? 0-ring or X-ring is better cause a shop is givin me friend 1 set of chain ad spockets when he purchase e bike , i think he can choose between X or O
